The only other east Midlands club I can bear. Nice to get a couple mentions. I would have accepted "disliked", but we're not even significant enough for that Maybe a bit different for me, not being from there and I'm now going to "out" myself: Like: Leicester City: As Izzy Muzzett once said "Last season(now last, last season), we became a lot of people's second favourite team. Who couldn't root for you guys to win the league? Was one of, if not the best sports stories in my lifetime. Was great to see an East Midlands club upset the "big" boys. Became a fan of the club and the players. Liverpool FC: This is where I "out" myself. I'd been watching the Premier League since they started covering it here regularly on TV. With my Pies nowhere to be seen I became a fan of Liverpool. Maybe based on the history or being it's where my favourite band comes from. Maybe since when I started watching the PL, the only teams you'd see regular were Liverpool, Man U and Arsenal. Never felt like a conflict liking Liverpool and Notts. Notts County FC: The team my dad supported. Not a lot to cheer about. After we say "We're the oldest football club in the world!"...that's pretty much it Toronto FC: My local team Borussia Dortmund Dislike: Forest: Obviously! Manchester United Most of the London teams. Bayern Munich Columbus Crew

Tielemans63 Posted 7 August 2017 Posted 7 August 2017 There's a few teams I like but that's mostly because at Uni there was a group of us in our halls who were big football fans and we would regularly go as a group and watch each other's teams. There are a few shockers in here but all I can say is that I had some good times going to watch them: Leeds (sorry) Cardiff (seriously) Blackpool Portsmouth Lincoln Boro Oldham The others are teams from cities I've visited: Athletic Bilbao Benfica Napoli Teams I dislike: Arsenal (really hate Arsenal) Chelsea Man Utd Celtic Rangers Derby Watford West Brom
UPinCarolina Posted 7 August 2017 Posted 7 August 2017 Northampton Town, for no particular reason. I also look for the AFC Wimbledon results, as well as Fulham (had a friend go on trial there; another friend has supported them for quite a few years now) In the States, Atlanta United and the Charlotte Independence.
Redouane Posted 7 August 2017 Posted 7 August 2017 Millwall are probably hated by the entire footballing world
Staffs Fox Posted 7 August 2017 Posted 7 August 2017 Like (or don't mind) Celtic (family are Irish and all support this lot) Liverpool (see above) Sheffield Wednesday (always liked them but when we lost to them in 2008 to pretty much relegate us, I was stuck on a train with a load of them and they were sound. They could have been right pricks but they were like 'you'll come back up don't worry, chin up' Dortmund (don't know why) Hate Rangers Spurs (apart from recent years, the 99 league cup final has stuck with me all these years. I was 12 and when they scored, instead of celebrating what was surely a winner in a cup final they decided to throw coins at a child, nice bunch) Man United
fox766 Posted 7 August 2017 Posted 7 August 2017 Going against the grain with this one but quite like Milwall - 1) worked with a couple guys who are Milwall fans and are and still genuinly good decent guys, although hearing some of the things that they told me its no wonder they have a bad rep. 2) was in london with family and a relative had really bad fall and out of all the people that were around at the time 5-6 milwall fans were the only ones that helped us and they were fantastic. Dislike pretty much the same as everyone else.

dmayne7 Posted 7 August 2017 Posted 7 August 2017 What is going on here? Leicester supporters liking Chelsea?! That is a long rooted hatred back to the days of football hooliganism and even for those who started supporting Leicester in the 90's/2000's, we have been on the end of so many injustices that them drawing with Spurs simply lessens the hate temporarily. We would have won the league anyway. Chelsea fans are shit football fans and scummy people.
HesNotGudjonsonn2 Posted 7 August 2017 Posted 7 August 2017 Had to add to this as I have an irrational hatred of two teams. Like Portsmouth as I was born there and so want better times for them. Southampton ironically as my Grandad supported them and great Grandad and Great Uncle played for them. dislikes Leeds United and Sheffield United. Just really f**king hate them. C*nts.

Wednesday fans hammered me during our relegation battles... The 1-4 defeat, the 1-3 defeat, when we were finally relegated... man, it never stopped. (Never had a problem with Blades fans though - probably because they were always going for promotion at that time!).... Wednesday fans think they are massive too, when in reality, they aren't. They are on par with Forest fans. So annoying. I like Everton. Well run club, likeable club, historic, well followed... always have a lot of time for Everton fans. I've gone right off Wednesday. I used to quite like them but there's a real arrogance about them I think.

oadby.fox Posted 7 August 2017 Posted 7 August 2017 Like Dulwich Hamlet - the team that is most local to me now geographically Juventus - always been my favourite European team, I remember growing up and watching Del Piero, Nedved, Trezeguet & co Borussia Dortmund - the stadium and fans are immense as well as some of the football they play Barcelona - the youth academy alone is astonishing Ajax - same as above Marseille & Lyon San Jose Southampton, Bournemouth, Arsenal & Liverpool in the prem - I think Bournemouth & Southampton are run really well and I have respect for the latter with regards to the unbeaten season and UCL final, also think they all have played some attractive football at times. Dislike Pretty much all of the Midlands sides although I almost miss the East Midlands derbies... Chelsea Man United Man City Tottenham I guess there aren't really too many sides that I have a strong dislike for in the rest of the world..
Blue ROI Posted 7 August 2017 Posted 7 August 2017 Like Arsenal - Former fan myself. Loved the 1998 team and was pleased for them when they won the league unbeaten. They let themselves down with their selfie after beating us in 2016. Southampton - Used to hate them given how they always seem to survive relegation but how they have stayed competitive after losing so many players and develop a solid platform for players has made me an admirer. Genoa - Me and a friend picked them at Random watching Serie A back in the 90s. Bayern - First continental shirt I had. The only big club I support. St Etienne- Like the band. Like the kit. Decent success over their history. Deportivo- Felt sorry for them losing out at the end of 93/94. Was a heartbreaker. Always had affection for them after. Atletico Madrid - Not a follower and what went on in 97 leaves a bad taste but shaking the Barca/Real duopoly in the last few years is something to be admired. Was gutted to lose out to them in the champions league but how they the dealt with us at the king power at our best when others struggled. Can only be impressed with that. Neutral Aston Villa - Aside from the Brian Little fallout found no great reason to dislike them. Spurs - Yes the fans are complete and utter bellends and so are several players but thats balanced out by developing into a good side. Kane could earn a lot more at another club but he stayed so lot to be said for it. Like Erikksen and Son as players. Besides they beat us 6-1 but we won the war! Dislike Chelsea - The 00s era. A dubious fanbase and some horrible players. Dont find them as bad now. Not hazard related. Stoke - The events of 2008 still makes it hard to warm to them. Everton - Poxed to stay up twice in the 90s. Getting notions about themelves being a big club lately and spending a fair bit. Not keen on Goodison Park either. Man Utd - Ferguson made it hard to like them. Even in the post fergie era with the moaning after so much success is tiresome. Throwing millions after millions on players recklessly is anoher thing against them. Barcelona - Talk of them being the peoples team and all that but their whiter than white portrayal is nauseating. A lot of dodgy calls that went their way in Europe over the years. Giving out about Neymar leaving. Real Madrid share a lot of Barca's flaws but they've never tried to make out to be perfect. Inter Milan - No real intense dislike but I find them the most boring big club in the game so thats enough.
