Arsenal post match 4-3

We came close to beating Arsenal

at the Emirates and the amount of abuse people are giving Shakespeare you'd think we'd been overrun all game.

The match was a long way off the thrashing some of us were predicting before the game.

We only have 4 fit central midfielders. One was playing his first game back in the top division in 2 seasons. When James looked as knackered as he did what's Craig supposed to do?

We were also unlucky the ref has had a nightmare with the Ozil handball decision.

Thats not Craig's fault either.

I was actually happy with the lads. We build on that especially with Drinky and Iborra and Huth back, and we will do well this season. Vardy is back on form, Maguire looks great, Shinji scored!

We always lose to these &"@£s even when we win the league by 10 points. In fact the last time we lost to them in the last min we won the league. Maybe it's a good omen!

This, this & more of this!! Come on, at least the only way is up baby!!

Sorry but we have spent over a 100 million over two seasons and we still can't do the basics, keep the ball and defend pieces.

To many players brought who can't get in the starting eleven, the defence has been in need of an overhaul as is the midfield but we keep buying forwards who cant get in the team, Slim £30 million, Musa 18 million, Nach 25 million.

Midfield, need three in there tonight for me.

If you score 3 away you expect to win.

Oh stop mimicking the media... Arsenal should've had a peno first half for a handball by Ndidi and you highlight that? Even stevens...It doesn't excuse the poor clearance from the corner and the total lack of marking.

No.  They shouldn't.

Just back from the pub in North Yorkshire watching that. Gutted. Did enough for the win. Thought Wes was at fault for at at least two of the goals but would have to watch again.

Maguire class and Vardy really sharp. Best two players. Shinji gave his all. Fair play their subs changed it but to lose leading 3-2 with ten to go is tough to take.

We'll be fine but would hope Huth might pair Harry when fit. Think Wes' time might be numbered.

Upwards and onwards.

N'Didi didn't watch the ball in the air for 20 yards before it came down though.  Unlike that wide eyed fûck.

Exciting match and lots of positives. Three goals away from home, Vardy looked sharp, Maguire looked promising and great to see Matty James back.  Poor defending and iffy substitutions cost us but things could be a lot worse.  Imagine being plastic Arsenal fans, who only sing when they are 4-3 up with a minute to go

Honestly can't believe what I'm reading. We outplayed one of the top sides on their own patch, and everyone is getting pelters because we switched off for a couple of minutes.

Honestly, wind it in.

Tough to accept us snatching defeat from the jaws of victory with equanimity. Preventable losses burn the worst. Moral victories are for teams in the Championship.

Getting it smashed onto your hand from one yard is not a pen. Controlling a 50 yard pass with your arm is a foul.

I agree however, we should not have let that third goal happen regardless, poor defending.

Agree bringing iheanacho on then was an odd one, but laying into Shakespeare because we lost concentration at a couple of corners is ridiculous. We were set up excellently for most of the game, played very well for 70 mins+, and had subs forced on us through injuries and lack of fitness in centre midfield, against a team who just spent 50m on a striker. Fair enough it was a bit Mickey Adams at the end, but come on, Shakespeare deserves more loyalty than this.

Why are people saying we lost because we stopped being attacking? We were 3-2 up with Amartey, James and Ndidi in the middle, We take James off for Nacho and we almost immediately concede 2 goals.

because we went to a park the bus 4-5-1 when we went Amartey in for Shinji

Agreed people need to realise we are a top 15 team. We need to support the boys and the manager

****ing hate lucky jammy Arsenal but Dean cost us a little but let's be honest it was mostly Shakey.

Leaving Mahrez on, then reverting to 442 when they flooded the midfield and also taking James off was just poor.

If Iheanacho was to come on it should have been for Vardy whilst Gray or Chillwell should have come on for Mahrez.

Just naive and frankly stupid substitutions.

cost us. And nice to see we've worked on the defence this summer. Still shite and school boyish how they had three men free when Ramsay scored
