Corky Posted 11 August 2017 Posted 11 August 2017 How were the fans tonight given the criticism over the past year?

But people are reacting like this is our tenth defeat in a row, not an unlucky if a bit dumb defeat to a title challenger, after outplaying them away from home for most of the game Title challenger? Nah, spurs, Chelsea, Liverpool and both Manchester's will be ahead of them come may
ClaudioWho Posted 11 August 2017 Posted 11 August 2017 Gutted. It was almost 3 points in hand. We have had bad record against Arsenal. But this is a strong showing from Shakespeare and the King (power)'s men.

They were so dangerous using late runners from deep positons from central midfield. I honestly thought James looked off the pace first half and had a better second half. Covering space was what James did well. And it made a massive difference. It's a waste of breath on here, but look what happened to us when the space WASNT covered anymore. We got put under ever more pressure, and pressure leads to conceding goals. This......is......not......a....coincidence. Anyway, not gonna waste my time explaining no longer. I go to bed feeling very peeved knowing that we just lost a game we should have not lost.
Stadt Posted 11 August 2017 Posted 11 August 2017 The ball was coming straight back at us, Vardy was knackered and completely isolated so bringing a striker on made sense especially as James was bollocksed as well. The players switching off cost us the game, not Shakey. There were three Arsenal players unmarked for Ramsey's goal. Maguire was fouled for Giroud's and obviously it was handball for the corner. James is probably 5th choice in midfield and we desperately miss Huth so I don't think we can be too negative despite how heart wrenching that game was. I think Iborra would have been perfect for this game as well, which is why these injuries are so frustrating.
Matt Posted 11 August 2017 Posted 11 August 2017 What a game. Thoroughly enjoyable, apart from losing. That said, very frustrated, very! I thought we played really well, we deserved the draw at the very least, deserved the win really, too many defensive errors though and when I say Arsenal were very poor yet they've scored 4 goals say alot about our defensive errors. Lots of positives to take out of it and whilst i'm mightly frustrated i'm not that annoyed. Arsenal are just one of those annoying clubs that get all the luck against us.

murphy Posted 11 August 2017 Posted 11 August 2017 We're all gutted but a lot of over reaction and a sense of people waiting for CS to fail. Perhaps when the dust has settled we'll realise that there was a lot to be optimistic about from that performance.

They should be challenging, even if they won't

No good being a good captain if you're a liability on the pitch. His deterioration in the last 12 months has been marked. Agree, he's slow to react and slow on the ball. Been brilliant for us but his best is behind him.
Number 6 Posted 11 August 2017 Posted 11 August 2017 If you match the games up like -for-like, we'reon track to match our title season...
Guest Col city fan Posted 11 August 2017 Posted 11 August 2017 Arsenal won't be title challengers. Loving the Ox as a wing back though. Rate him.

Hope people have stayed to watch it, he's coming across really well. stream turned itself off, what was the gist of it?
Merging Cultures Posted 11 August 2017 Posted 11 August 2017 Vardy saying we gave it away due to lapses in concentration. Fair enough. I think we will push on now and do well this year.

Replace Morgan and Simpson with an upgrade, we could have a good season And ignore all maguire's mistakes why not? And the total lack of defensive help for Simpson from Mahrez who was so poor apart from the part he played in our third goal.

The corner led to a goal that completely changed the game. As for mimicking the media... it's a photo nicked off twitter ? The sequence was repeated like 6-7 times during the game. I'm just going to refrain from putting on the blue-tinted specs on this one.

Lovejoy Posted 11 August 2017 Posted 11 August 2017 Plenty of positives for me, we always lose to Arsenal and need to look at how we're dealing with set pieces. Vary looks red hot though. Won't lose any sleep over this one.
nettle Posted 11 August 2017 Posted 11 August 2017 Wrong subs at the wrong time Okazaki off for Iheanacho first then take Vardy off for a midfielder near the end would have been better. Mahrez should have been taken off for Gray as well decent performance though so let's hope shakey learns quickly.
