I could see him getting a new contract with a pay raise, though.

No chance in hell will our owners let him go, they've very clearly shown they're not push overs. The whole Kante release clause situation flipped a switch, and I love it.

He deserves one with his play this season. Get him a 100 mill release clause, tack on 4 more seasons. If they want him, they can bloody well pay.

He’ll be worth more than £100m in 4 years time with the rate at which: a) he’s improving and b) the market is changing

He loves the club, he has shown no contempt of his association with us (unlike some...!) and will hopefully be player of this mixed bag of a season come May/June - a season which is already 100% better than last 'under pressure as defending Champions' season.....

Man City lollol rumour has it they are on the owners shite list along with Karen Brady and wet spam lol

If city do want him Top needs to tell them the only cash plus deal we will do is £70m plus 5 oil wells lol

Priorities please.  Need to tack 4 more years on Leo’s contract first.

How can that Dutch fella to Liverpool be worth 75m and a younger better English player be worth 25m less

:nigel:

English players we are told have a premium , Harry is a John Terry in the making he has it all , yet the press seem to think a rich club like ours are going to under value him and sell him cheap , what we have shown with Mahrez is that we are no mugs when it comes to valuations !

Liverpool paid a premium for him instead of sotton reporting them again for tapping up. That would have resulted in a transfer ban for Liverpool. Sotton had liverpool by the bollox up shite creek without a paddle.

Are we allowed to get excited about him yet? after peoples initial scares about the odd mistakes he makes, which he'll continue to do as he takes risks; he really seems to have come on leaps and bounds.

It's a real struggle to find clips of him playing recently, but this video from when we played Brighton 5 months ago shows how he's been playing for us consistently of late.

i'm not sure some fans realise the potential player we've got on our hands.

We got a huge bargain for £17m

This was Chelsea v Hull last season

English players are a premium , and tapping up is normal now look at Mahrez no official offer yet he handed in the transfer request following Man City talking to his new agent , premium or not that’s the benchmark figure now for a decent centre half and Harry is better than decent

80m his value for me

Do all these shit reporters ever give up, they got it wrong about Mahrez and less than 24 hrs later here we go again with Harry Maguire.

Who pays them for coming up with this shit, because I need a job and I am sure I could do better than what they print.

Let the papers think we're an open market in the summer. We have to shut them down a few times before that perception changes. It will though. Up the Thais, they don't need your filthy oil money.

Needs to remember that first and foremost he's a big lump who is meant to stick his foot, head, testicle or whichever the requisite body part is onto the ball to get it away from our goal. Then he's a top player.

Didn’t realise the fookin size of him. 15 and a half stone and 6ft 4in! If his football career goes tits up then he’s got a future in WWE

Exactly. Legal blackmail. Yet his price is now being used as a benchmark. In today's market he's a 50m player 25 was the premium imo

... and once again money politics and unsettling of another player by the two Manchester clubs means I don’t see Harry getting the chance to become the ‘big’ player for us. Just the big money-earner in the subsequent sell off.
