Claudio Ranieri even phoned him up personally to convince him to come here. That article on the Mercury the other day also said we tried to sign Polish striker Millik twice who is now at Napoli. Our signings last season for the most part did not work out, but when you think that we've signed players like Vardy, Kante, Mahrez, Ndidi, Maguire, it shows you that our scouting team is one of the best in terms of hit rate. Even players like Albrighton, Fuchs, Huth, Okazaki, Simpson show that even our 'B' grade signings are still pretty damned good considering what they have done for us. And you can see that although we missed out on some others, they were good signings to go for. Sure we've also got the occasional Wague and Musa in the mix, but we should have faith in our scouting team.

The ones that do come in usually happen before anyone's picked up on it (Iheanacho being an exception for obvious reasons) so if we're discussing a player on here then chances are it's all rumour mill rubbish. I'm actually quite impressed at how well the club tends to mask our real transfer activity.

Where chats were had in front of the tea lady so to speak they are now behind closed doors. I would like to think that means stuff is happening.
