Rigga Posted 30 August 2017 Posted 30 August 2017 Even before we sell DD , Mendy and Musa we should have bee in the market for players improving our starting XI. Now we find an uphill struggle to even replace the above 3.. i think we are 4/5 players short and still have no outstanding quality in the middle of the park..no RB to even challenge Simpson never mind replace him.

The supposed dealings over Townsend really don't happen that quick. We had a bid for McCarthy at the point of Iborra. We'd be looking elsewhere for a Drinkwater replacement. Won't happen. You'd commit suicide buying half a team during a transfer window and you'd be ripped off on every deal. Ulloa isn't 4th choice currently either. Slim's still here and Leo wasn't even on the bench on Saturday.

Wether we do or not is another matter but I wouldn't reado too much into the fact there's not much on sky sports about it, it's not like we try and keep it out of the headlines, eh?

MrSpaM Posted 30 August 2017 Posted 30 August 2017 I don't really mind the silence on our part tbh, we've had to put up with other clubs using us as a scouting system for years I've lost count of the amount of times we've put a bid in for somebody over the years, and then some other club like west ham or villa are all of a sudden 'interested' in them when they haven't even been to scout them
