Why? 'Cos its so cheap compared to St. Albans?

Yep and I remember how 'cheap' those houses were 30 years ago!

shakey adds nothing to the thread in his presser - 'deal agreed and still working on it'

It gives substance to the speculation we may try to pull out of the transfer if Silva isn't eligible until January.

Whether that's to put pressure on FIFA I don't know.

Definitely looks like we are trying to pull out if this is the case otherwise he would be training. How true is the stuff about him getting a house as seems strange that the club would string him along.

Well age would also come into it, and whether people went on to Beauchamp or not.

I went to Brocks Hill, Gartree and Beauchamp, left in 1998 for uni.

Guessing we lived fairly close by...

Really hope we do let him train with us. Even if just for good will.

I know there might be legal ramifications, but what does it suggest to the wider community? Doesn't exactly scream that we value him.

Shakespeare did well in that presser, you could tell they were trying to get a headline to the Sporting statement and he just batted it off saying the legal side was nothing to do him and he only identifies players

Yep he didn't bite or get goaded in which was good - clearly been given some media training / practice!

Clutching, if it goes to the Court of Arbitration for Sport based in Switzerland, it will take at least a month to get a tribunal in Lausanne, then a further long wait to have a verdict. By that time it will be the end of December anyway ?

The difference being now we've identified similar cases - the appeal to FIFA includes the threat of referring to the CAS which is a more law-type atmosphere. FIFA's consideration will be consulting lawyers about what could happen in the CAS case and if they look like to lose, they will approve the transfer.

Hope so, the problem we have is FIFA being very open with the 'late is late' line to the media.

No chance ...   I think FIFA have their head stuck in a very dark place ...
