You do realise Joker isn't and was never meant to be an action or superhero movie don't you? It was a psychological thriller and social commentary.

This. Very good when you take it for what it is and understand the reasons why he became "the Joker". A tormented soul due to his own experiences of life.

As long as there is remorse, there should be a limited time frame on dredging up old tweets etc to use as a stick to beat someone with. A 17 year old making a joke using an ignorant or naive slur shouldnt mean a now changed 28 year old should lose their job or something. Surely the better thing is the education someone received to realise the error of their ways rather than trying to punish someone when they were a different person? Kind of detracts from tackling real issues to.

 

I'm sure there's a lot of crap people wrote on here that they regret and realise those comments were wrong after educating themselves as they got older.

I mean isn't that part of life, experiencing it and hopefully growing as a person through maturing, meeting people different to you etc. I feel dismayed when I see people in their 30s get pulled up on tweets from over a decade prior. I don't know about you guys but I am not the same person I was 10 years ago for better or worse.

Unless.. it ties to current attitudes.

eg. If you are a racist/homophobic/etc shitbag today and someone brings up a racist/homophobic/etc comment from 10 years ago.. then, relevant

I suppose if someone is accused of something it could be supporting evidence, but even then it is pretty tenuous.  I doubt it would be accepted in any court or tribunal for example.

No. However there is really no need for the public to be able to buy them when there are so many brilliant professional displays around.
