The vast majority of posts on this thread (Algerians aside) have a similar opinion to mine, which leads me to believe in this case you are 'wide of the mark'. Like I said, it was like 2 minutes of him floating stringing some passes together. If you bothered to read the original post you replied to, you'd see I said Albrighton was significantly better than Mahrez despite him getting a bad rep too. I know which of the two I'd start right now.

Him being Pearson's tactician was only ever thrown about when we were winning as a reason to take any credit away from Pearson. Now the same thing seems to be used to discredit Shakespeare, by the people who didn't like Pearson. No - I never have given Shakey credit for that. As you know it was Cambiasso✅
Stevosevic Posted 27 September 2017 Posted 27 September 2017 Just dawned on me this is a really big game.

Think its dawned on the players as well by the lack of twittering from them. Simpson who likes twittering more than most has not posted anything since August.

We should have beaten them last game of the season but the away game was horrifying. We'd come off the back of a great win vs Man City and the comeback vs Stoke I believe? And then we went there and we're negative, gutless and abysmal. It was the easiest win all season for them. We've got to get in to them early and upset them, they are woeful at the back when exposed and if we high press and focus on the first 20 minutes then we might finally get a win there. Gray has to start, he'll be eager to make an impression against the team who tried very hard to bring him in from us and I think we can afford to risk him and Mahrez together. Schmeichel Simpson Morgan Maguire Fuchs Ndidi Iborra Mahrez Okazaki Gray Vardy I was initially really attracted to this line up but on reflection it still leaves us with only 2 central midfielders and a striker who drops back in occasionally, unless we are expecting Mahrez and Gray to help out a lot defensively too. Think I'd prefer going for 3 CMs, with Vards up front, flanked by Gray and Mahrez. That would free the latter 2 from defensive duties, allow them to get the ball higher up the field and prevent us getting dominated in midfield. Downside at the minute is that if we play 3 CMs then one of them would have to be King, given lack of options, but he's more effective in a 3. In reality, however, it'll be 442, with possibly Fuchs and Gray coming back in for Chilwell and Albrighton. Otherwise unchanged.
Foxes1 Posted 28 September 2017 Posted 28 September 2017 On a more serious note what pubs are we all heading for on Saturday.

Eskay Posted 28 September 2017 Posted 28 September 2017 What I want to see A positive attitude and playing on the front foot. Taking the game to a side who have been poor this season. Some of our record breaking signings playing instead of being on the bench. Players who haven't played well recently not to be starting. What I will probably see An Unchanged line up. A draw at best and us being happy with it. Defending deeper and deeper from the get go. I really hope we win this. It's a massive game against some poor opposition.

I'm predicting a 3-1 LCFC victory and an Okazaki goal.
Stevosevic Posted 28 September 2017 Posted 28 September 2017 Lose this and I am fed up of this season already. We've got some good players who I don't think are being used correctly.

Guest CityFan 06 Posted 28 September 2017 Posted 28 September 2017 352 Schmeichel Morgan Dragovic Maguire Albrighton Ndidi Iborra Chilwell Gray Vardy Okazaki I think we need to look at 352 both home and away. It would suit us and make us less predictable to play against. Creativity is still an issue, but we'd be able to counter better with 352.

Mahrez on for Gray, Kelechi for Okazaki, one of Fuchs/King/Huth/Silmani elsewhere, perhaps (subs)

daddylonglegs Posted 28 September 2017 Posted 28 September 2017 The point of the thread is obviously what you'd like to see happen in terms of team selection... but suggesting other formations is so pointless. The players (the senior ones anyway) evidently want to play 4-4-2. It won't change. King and Ndidi will be the midfield two. Albrighton and Mahrez on the wings. The only position that is ever a contest at the moment is Chilwell/Fuchs.

Also... you know that as soon as Huth comes back into the side, he'll want Fuchs next to him regardless if Chilwell is playing well or not.
AjcW Posted 28 September 2017 Posted 28 September 2017 Also mentioned Vardy only trained for the first time today!
filbertway Posted 28 September 2017 Posted 28 September 2017 Nice In that case Schmeichel Simmo Morgan/Dragovic Maguire Chilly/Fuchs Ndidi Iborra King Mahrez Vardy/Nacho man Gray Pleaseee.
