FIFA reject Adrien Silva appeal

We don't know the date that the appeal went in. We do know that the FIFA appeal can take 30 days to respond and yesterday was around 30 days since we heard the original registration was with held. the club could well have acted within a week or so of that knock back.

Oh come on, with all the lawyers, so called experts, lcfc as soon as it found out the the Signing did not go through, would have had a strategy to build its case, that includes data, even if lcfc were so amatuer, that data is so easy to establish it would take minutes.

I can't believe some of the shite mentioned on this forum, some one would have thought our club was run by two grannies in an old peoples home in the pooonjab.

The owners would have hired the best it could find with all eventualities covered asap.  FIFA have decided to stick by its Initial judgement.

This we sent it on time, FIFA time being ahead does not wash with me.

Ok I didn't have to happen it was a turn of phrase but it was the common sense move for all parties.

Chelsea are a bigger club with better players, in the champions league who could pay him more than us. He has already been here for 6 seasons and is not getting any younger this was realistically his last chance at a big move. And Danny had handed in a transfer request. Also from our point of view his form had dipped dramatically and we were getting a fantastic price for him. Would have been a disaster to try and keep him I think.

Where as Mendy had been here a season and went to Metz on loan. Club could have easily told him he has to stay till Jan and no one would have batted an eyelid.

ok so in short it didnt have to happen the same as mahrez, coutinho and sanchez

Wonder if his fellow pros across the EU will make any comment or consider taking any action in his name. if he really is a 'victim' and the evidence is clear then surely he is entitled to their support?  It could happen to any of them.

I found it odd that shakey said they were worried on deadline day up until the window shut re mahrez and a possible move.  Does that mean that the club were prepared to sell him if the right offer came, even though we wouldn't have had time to replace him ?  I'm sure we would have told his people that deadline day was too late for a sale to be done - perhaps the club has an agreement with the players that if our valuation is met, we won't stand in their way.

The documents were submitted before the deadline. LCFC worked with IT experts to produce irrefutable evidence for this, which was the basis for the appeal:

FIFA have no legal basis for rejecting the appeal.

we fuched up by leaving it that late in the first place as well as deciding to sell drinkwater so late

I know this is a silly question but:

Has FIFA actually stated the reason(s) why the ITC  can not be released?

It seems we all believe it is to do with the 14 seconds but is there an additional problem which has not publicly being made known. As I understand, the fee is required to be paid before the deadline of 11.00pm  and only then an extension can be granted. Have we paid the fee!!!!!!!!!!

I do not believe we can take FIFA to court as the club and FA have agreed to FIFA's  t's & c's. I agree the club should have made more of this within the media, as we seem to come across as easy prey.

I have a nagging doubt all is not as stated by the club and due to their actions have created a situation which has thrown this club into chaos.

I highly doubt Sporting would categorically say he's our player if we hadn't paid.

I was interesred to read that fifas latest ruling was simply to endorse the original decision of the fa.

This situation has fa incompetance writen all over it.  The sooner we drag them to court the better.

The fa needs to swallow hard and admit they were wrong.

Yet  for silva to play asap then he needs to seek an order to stop fifa from blocking him from playing while this is sorted out .....now.  they should say thete is a real prospect of winning againt the fa but that the process delay would be too damaging for the player

disagree; we aren't an embarrassment. This incidence is embarrassing as we've clearly cocked up and its incredible how we did, but same time it highlights grey areas in FIFA ruling. If they're saying we're embarrassing due to our fall from grace, well I think it just shows how well we played in that year and it shows how critical recruitment is.

I agree, we're not necessarily an embarrassment to anyone, whilst this incident is. What I do agree with is that we're a shambles and he reeled off a list that was 90% correct.

I know the guy just spouts stuff to be controversial (and actually contradicts previous viewpoints when doing so), but it's a sorry state to be in when this arsehole has so many sticks to beat Leicester with and he's pretty much right.

What is shocking is the opportunity we had to push on, I doubt we will ever have that again and it was completely wasted. We know it and so does everybody else. The Silva cock up is just the latest in a line of cock ups.

We pushed on by rewarding the players that won the league by 10 points (yes, 10 points) with the new deals they deserved. Wholesale changes weren't necessary as some seem to think.

Easy to criticise with hindsight.

If he's training with us now, why haven't we unveiled him and announced it on the club website, irrespective of the appeal?

Hindsight is a great thing but after just winning the league our club was at it's peak for attracting quality players, we didn't take that once in a lifetime opportunity and we are now a joke when it comes to recruitment.

I don't think anyone suggested wholesale changes were needed however we have recently spent millions of pounds on players that should be an improvement to the squad, unfortunately they are either loaned out or bench warmers that is not criticism that is fact.

whats changed?, why is he suddenly free to train with the team??!!

Fifa has declared he is our player. It;s just that he can't play until January.

We may as well announce the signing now, as even if he was eligible - Shakespeare wouldn't play him for 2/3 months anyway!

'We can't afford to rush him, we're integrating him into the squad, he needs to build up his minutes' For examples see: Iheanacho, Iborra, Dragovic...

No we didn't. Drinkwater wanted to go, And for 35 million it was good business. We were then in the situation of needing to get someone in. Silva was at the Club all day seemingly waiting for the Drinkwater situation to be sorted. You could argue that we shouldn't have sold DD so late in the process, But this is real Money we're talking about. the Chelsea deal was to good to turn down especially as he wanted to go.

Both the Club and the FA agree the paperwork was sent on time. It's the process that's at fault,

You're probably right. Come January Shakey will announce that he's not Match fit and needs time to get up to speed. Probably we won't see him until Easter.
