We're looking like a right bunch of whingers at the moment, Personally I will never accept it. I am still bouncing off the walls about FIFA's massive cuntosity and intend to keep whinging and muttering about it until December 31st minimum.
TeamRocket Posted 10 October 2017 Posted 10 October 2017 I think if fifa are letting sky move our game they should let us have what is ours
brucey Posted 10 October 2017 Posted 10 October 2017 Think he trained with the squad today (well half the squad who are back), and he's currently staying at the Marriott. Not that it helps..
yorkie1999 Posted 10 October 2017 Posted 10 October 2017 Makes you wonder why a Swiss based outfit would effectively stop a Portuguese player from playing. I mean there’s nothing riding on it is there.
Wymsey Posted 10 October 2017 Posted 10 October 2017 So, the club are, now, in the process of appealing against the failed appeal ruling?..

We fooked this up and the writing has been on the wall for about a month. He'll be here in January. Now move the feck on.

Feel the club are clutching at straws tbh, with the company in charge of top global football matters declining the appeal in the first place. If this case goes to/has been sent to CAS and, somehow, the ruling gets over-turned and Silva is able to play for us - then FIFA will be under more scrutiny. The latter situation does feel like a pipe-dream one to happen now, unfortunately..

Well something doesn't add up with it all, since they let that other transfer which was late go through.......and the club was Swiss too, clearly FIFA are still upto their old tricks and collecting brown envelopes Hopefully this whole Silva issue will go to CAS
Nick Posted 11 October 2017 Posted 11 October 2017 So this won't embed but its a TDD summary gif from twitter - gives an idea of stuff happening even in the lower leagues... https://twitter.com/brfootball/status/903935617121308672

No one but us give a shite really. Other clubs/fans I suspect are probably just taking the piss. Silva looked bloody good last night I thought. It's a fook up of big proportions this and the only shame is that no one appears to be held to account. The rot at the club seems to have set in with no clear indication of how to get out of it. Both on, or off the pitch.

He is 28 and this 4 month ban is a good chunk of his career down the toilet. He has a very genuine grievance here. The idea that FIFA has a system whereby a transfer can go through and international clearance does not, hanging a player out to dry for half a season is absolutely ludicrous. FIFA have behaved just like the jobsworth stepford wife cvnts that they are and not shown an ounce of humanity or common sense. I'll move on when I'm ready thanks. For now I'm still seething.

This is the crux of the problem imo. forget late/not late etc etc, if the system has an endemic fault, no party should suffer because of it.

The latter situation does feel like a pipe-dream one to happen now, unfortunately.. Tbh the difference is significant. Fifa regulations are not laws. Blocking the sale is a measure having an equivalent effect to a quantitative restrictions prohibited under EU law. They haven't done that in this instance, which is wise as it would blow the whole transfer window out. Therefore as the sale took place the law concerns whether Adrien should be allowed to play. The bosman ruling would do little with FIFA but would be extremely persuasive in a court. I doubt an appeal will get Adrien playing for us any sooner but I expect an appeal to an actual court to set a new precedent not seen since Bosman and result in a complete rewrite of FIFA regulations. I'm surprised Fifa didn't just okay it for that reason as its going to be costly for them when we win the appeal.

Zurich have his ruling overturned even tho his delay was a hell of a lot longer than 14 seconds but it was due to Nigeria’s slow internet speeds (cough splutter what utter Bollox !!?) yet declined Silvas ?? Bit of favouritism going on there ?? FIFA YOU’RE FULL OF SHIT ?!!

After all Suarez got less for his second biting incident And im sure if youve got enough money there must be a fast track option in the CAS His THIRD biting incident
