I think our Owners see our current plight as no more than a blip in their aspirations for us. They will get us back on track even if it does cost a lot of Money.

justfoxes Posted 7 October 2017 Posted 7 October 2017 Really hoping we can get an early decision from the the sports arbitration courts and in our favour and we can then send FUCH up FIFA an email letting them know that we will be sending them an important document through at 15:15 then send this great mock with the u replacing the hashtag up at exactly 15:15:14!! 14 hours ago, gerrytaggart said: Only god can judge.

Maybe they should upgrade our behind the scenes staff otherwise we'll be lucky to challenge for top 8 in the Championship after missing out on signing Cameron Jerome on deadline day by 14 seconds.
justfoxes Posted 8 October 2017 Posted 8 October 2017 You know when you just read articles in the paper and because of the bad news for City you don’t actually see certain thing in the articles, then you read them again and have a “EUREKA” moment ?? Then you read it again and it slaps you right in the chops!!! This really shows fifa are looking after their own and this Stinks of biasedness where as F.C. Zurich had their appeal overturned even tho there was a very late discrepancy in the players paperwork being sent to Zurich from Nigeria allegedly over very poor internet connections ( Which a still probably faster that the crap we have ??!!) about 20 or so minutes late but doesn’t matter and to FIFA’s own rules they were late and they get their decision overturned ??? We were apparently 14 seconds late and since had technology experts go through all our IT systems and have proven that our paperwork went in on time and our appeal was kicked to the kerb, but the best bit is when the blue smoke has dissipated and you read on you think you twisted corrupt Fuchers The head office of Those corrupt Cnuts is in Zurich Switzerland and F.C. Zurich is no more than about 6 miles from FIFAs headquarters now doesn’t that ring alarm bells of looking after their mates and overturning a rule that they say rules are rules no excuse of paperwork being late just makes you think who the single judge follows or does he sit on the board of the said club involved ? im really hoping we get a positive decision from the CAS and then we seek legal action against fifa because if this isn’t corruption then I’m fuched if I know what is ???
joachim1965 Posted 8 October 2017 Posted 8 October 2017 I still can't see how they can reject one and accept another, makes no sense at all unless a big brown envelope was involved.

I doubt CAS can find in our favour on account of the decision made re FC Zurich's player. Unrelated cases. I would have thought that FIFA would have found in our favour if they thought CAS would as this potentially leaves them open to further legal action (though I suspect that we aren't allowed to sue the governing body). note that fifa's comments on the two cases not being comparable refers to 'advice from their legal dept'. Whilst it's one judge making the decision, he/she will have taken advice from some very capable lawyers.

He's a past player of the year and a European champion with Portugal. So it's reasonable to assume he will make the grade here. I can go all the way back to the fifties and have seen a lot of the foolishness that got us and others into trouble. Which is why I've said many times the Manager is the most important person in the Club. And I'd hire the best Manager no matter what it cost over any players. Because the right Manager can build a team capable of challenging regularly. Like Pottechino at Spurs or the great job Dyche and Howe are doing on smaller budgets. I think the Owners are thinking in us challenging at the top end of the table going forward and so voting for a bigger share of the kitty. I know Clubs don't have to release players but while I don't agree with it, Players hold most of the power nowadays and sooner or later usually get their way. As will happen with Mahrez probably in January. Do I think the Club has handled things well, no I don't. But success is based on an element of luck and making fewer mistakes. Such can be the small margins in Football. Never played FM? You’re missing out matey it’s good!
davieG Posted 8 October 2017 Posted 8 October 2017 Silva needs to go to CAS not LCFC based on restraint of trade.

But the most important man in that Team is still the Manager. That's why it worked so well with Pearson. He came in at the time when we were on our knees and brought his own people in. To basically work under and with him in turning around our fortunes. That's his great skill, settling up clubs. He wasn't the best tactical Coach but you can always bring in someone to do that job. The Real Skill is in setting up the Club up properly. for that, I'll always be eternally grateful to Pearson. With some of the big Clubs they're effectively using a top Coach to run the team and someone else runs the Club. While this can also work and be effective, I much prefer the Pearson / Ferguson approach.

But in terms of silva he is actually the victim in all of this and left in 'no mans land'. After all Suarez got less for his second biting incident And im sure if youve got enough money there must be a fast track option in the CAS
