foxinsocks Posted 18 October 2017 Posted 18 October 2017 Its hard to know where to start. Yes i liked shakey but for the last few weeks since Bournemouth i could see we were not going forward in terms of tactics and appoach (confidence and belief)... he had to go.. and sooner is better as we can start to sort things out from now. Yet we can all see there is a disfunctional side to our club. The support stucture has not been cherished .....it should be professionally managed so that managerial changes don't bin it. This needs an inspiring and professional operational manager. Worse the development of individual players fails to address their short comings.... this is why we have bought players who then fail to adjust. When we bring in a player we should have a team to work on the things they need to sort to maximuse our return. Decision making (grey and mahrez) strength and first touch (slim iheancho and musa) moving the ball fwd quickley (iborra). I dont see any if these improvements. This should be a function of the club operation. No organisation hires talent without an inducton and development program to get them productive The recruitment and retention is crap... nuff said. Eg we should now make it clear thst no one is leaving in jan None of the above is down to shakey. I do believe we need the right guy to sort this out... to get this done rudkin must step aside. I am not impressed by him. Like shakey he might be a nice guy... but hes in the way. Professionally...i have aways hired the best guys... and some are a nightmare to manage. But it is a mistake to fill key roles with mediocre yes men (or women). This is how we got here.
shailen Posted 18 October 2017 Posted 18 October 2017 We really need a strong manager who will take no BS. Pearson comes to mind or an Allardyce. I know people are going to complain about the style of football, but we need a strong leader in charge who can control the players and get them playing a certain style. The issue for me this season is the lack of organisation in games. At points, we've looked all over the place. We definitely have the quality to get out of this and not be fighting relegation, but we need discipline and organisation.
Guest Posted 18 October 2017 Posted 18 October 2017 Time to change to a more enjoyable style of play. I hope.
TheMightySystem Posted 18 October 2017 Posted 18 October 2017 Interesting to note that the new and younger players felt a change was needed while the title winning squad were disappointed. Wonder why! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4989110/amp/Craig-Shakespeare-sacked-Leicester-City.html

Tuna Posted 18 October 2017 Posted 18 October 2017 It is understood ex-England boss Sam Allardyce would be interested in the job. From the mail article.
Tuna Posted 18 October 2017 Posted 18 October 2017 I wonder who these 'disgruntled senior players are'.

Countryfox Posted 18 October 2017 Posted 18 October 2017 Its not about the manager now ... its Rudkin ... he has to go .... he didn't get on with Nige and didn't see eye to eye with Shakey. He has failed the club in so many areas its amazing he hasn't gone already. Boot him out then get a new manger in who can control and motivate these players. With regard to Shakey, yes he has been unlucky and his early record was good (although I believe the players played for themselves at the end of last season), but he needed to grow a pair quickly and he didn't. I thought he would ... I was wrong.
Guest MattP Posted 18 October 2017 Posted 18 October 2017 Not even bothered, whoever it is they'll just get sacked after they have a few bad results like all the others.
Fox92 Posted 18 October 2017 Posted 18 October 2017 If we go for Big Sam then we'll be in this same situation this time next year. His record in the top flight might be decent but we need someone progressive who will be here for years to build a team, not someone to just come in keep us up and then leave again. That's coupled with the fact his football won't be any better than what we have been watching this season. We missed out on Silva going to Watford, I'd have liked him.

GaelicFox Posted 18 October 2017 Posted 18 October 2017 Claudio must me doing this today shaky sacked and now a failed manager Walsh on his way to being sacked and now a failed DOF claudio won us the league , time has proven the theory that Walsh and Shakespear masterminded the whole thing to a load of crap the mods on here seem to want to stop Claudio’s reputation being resorted but we now know ... Shaky is only good at managing a full English breakfast and Walsh was a lucky man at Leicester his luck has run out at Everton hail the don , Don Claudio
AjcW Posted 18 October 2017 Posted 18 October 2017 When I saw Gray with his head in his hands on the bench the other night, while we still had a sub to make and could still win the game I knew something would end up happening. 100% wouldn't be surprised if there was a big argument after the game. Shakey didn't do interviews until late.

Feel sorry for him but ultimately his fear of failing was his downfall.

Pearson's didn't work last time and Shakey's evidently didn't either. It didn't work when Ranieri implemented a negative style and it won't work with Allardyce either. 100% no to an Allardyce or a Pearson, unless you want to see more of the same.

I don't think that's fair, they were sacked because we were playing awful football that no one wants to watch. Pearson wasn't even sacked for results, yet it was the correct decision in hindsight.

I have absolutely nothing to backup this idea, just a question. Personally, the more time goes on, the more I feel it's right to evolve on the playing side as opposed to staying loyal to the likes of Fuchs, King and Ulloa. Easier said than done, I know, but by bringing in a new coaching team from outside I'd hope they will look at the here and now, not two years ago.

Dan Posted 18 October 2017 Posted 18 October 2017 We need someone who won't tolerate what a shambles the club's become. We're all well and good saying Silva this and Howe that but when they're stitched up by the gang of inepts we'll be back to square one. Heard Allardyce on Talksport this morning. Interesting that as an outsider he seemed to see things quite similarly to how I did and that he seems to know what kind of things made us successful. Though importantly he said "not for now" and reading between the lines I actually think he fancies the USA job.

There's been murmurings Gray and Shakespeare had words and also that Shakespeare was called to the board room after the game but all seems a bit to obvious to me. The owners weren't at the game so I doubt that latter happened.
