BenTheFox Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 So let me get this straight, apparently Pearson didn't get on with Rudkin, Ranieri didn't get on with Rudkin and now Shakespeare didn't get on with Rudkin??? How is he still in a job?
mozartfox Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 He has some frigging negatives. How else would a Business like King Power put up with someone of his ability and past performance? He has got away with taking a hit for the Silva cock-up.

Bryn Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 It's the right decison. I completely agree that he's been dealt a shit hand this season and his superiors are more culpable than he, but is he the man to take us forward? I really don't think so.
holyfox Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 All these people dissing our club for sacking him need to go review our performances this season. When he came in last season he went back to basics and our out and out pressing game is what worked. Instead of building in that, he’s gone cautious on us just like Claudio did last season and we end up with the same dross. We got outplayed by Bournemouth guys, Bournemouth! We only seem to turn up when we go behind and it’s clear that he really doesn’t know how to get the best out of this squad. I’m really sorry it hasn’t worked out, but how much longer were we supposed to wait?? Lets hope we get a top manager to replace him!

Daggers Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Sorry, CBA to read through 25 pages. Just wanted to say that I noted Master Fox's considered contribution to the ongoing discussion about this on Twitter. See if you can tell what his account name is... Must admit, it's not the thing most of us have been focussing on, but it certainly adds an interesting dimension to future discussions. You'd have thought he could have added a picture of his moist moggy though?

Wouldn't surprise me if we try and get out of having one which would happen if Appleton was asked to take over for the foreseeable future. There's been a silence from this club for a long while now and th press reports that Shakespeare and Rudkin didn't get on just shows how nicely tucked his feet are under the table here. I really wish us fans could use our power collectively to force our owners in to removing Rudkin, he will ruin this club at this rate. I wonder if Schmeichel and Linekers comments was passed on from info. by someone high up in the club to put the heat on Rudkin after the Silva fiasco. Think the club are starting to get sick of him and are getting the message out there that he has a bit to answer for in the transfers area since Pearson left. At least thats what I'm Hoping for.
whoareyaaa Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Some bloke on the radio made a good point earlier about him going from coach to management under the same set of players it's two completely different roles. You can't blame Shakey though, Rudkin should be gone as well and he wouldn't have any problems attaining a job at the local circus.

Except for using Bournemouth as an example. We still havent beaten them in the Premier League!

Or maybe they have fell out a lot recently over player recruitment, Drinkwater being sold and this Silva debacle where he's been left out to face on his own. End of the day, Rudkin's position doesn't seem to be under great which is the scariest part of our football club. I wonder how bad things have to get before our owners see the obvious? It makes me question everything they've ever done.

What I don’t get is they can easily sack Pearson , Ranieri who did the unthinkable, let Steve Walsh go and now Shaky but Rudkin gets away with it all

Guest Col city fan Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Shakey has been the fall guy imo. If we don't replace a lot of the deadwood staff at this club, the next manager will end up the same. The club seems rotten to the core. Rudkin, for a start, can fook off.

PhillippaT Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Well, the owners of LCFC appear to be pretty ruthless and it had a positive effect last time - we'll see if it happens again this time, or if we'll spiral back down again...
mod hero Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Where has the Rudkin and Shakey not getting on story come from?
BenTheFox Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 It feels hollow supporting Leicester at the minute. We've witnessed something we never thought we'd see and nothing will ever live up to it. The club just seems stuck in limbo now and I don't really know what direction we're trying to go in, nor do I know what our aspirations are. It all seems a bit pointless.

I'm having the biggest struggle ever to keep supporting them. Its a mixture of things. I've had a shitty year personally, we reached the dizzy heights we did and everything else is a comedown and finally I'm falling out of love a little with top flight football, ridiculously paid kids and winning at all costs. Ive not been down much this season and just not missed it. As a club, we've become a shining example of how NOT to be run and if another club had spent what we'd spent on players who just sit on the bench match after match, I think we'd probably all be laughing at them. Whatever manager we get in, doesn't get over this issue of too much complacency within the club and it seems (to an outsider like myself) to be a nest of vipers at the moment. The Thais need to freshen the whole place up, cos frankly, it stinks.

I'd much rather have a league that promotes young talent, attractive football and a better matchday experience.
