Collymore Posted 24 October 2017 Posted 24 October 2017 What do we think? I have to say I've been massively impressed. I feel he's given himself a right chance after last 2 games. Surely he deserves a little delay in the decision - minimum. Top and Vichi will be scratching their heads that's for sure.
SheppyFox Posted 24 October 2017 Posted 24 October 2017 No way. Let’s learn from every number 2 ever, going into the number 1 role being crap.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 24 October 2017 Posted 24 October 2017 Not going to happen after what happened with Shakey
Jakemoore Posted 24 October 2017 Posted 24 October 2017 I personally think he should get two more games
stevelcfc Posted 24 October 2017 Posted 24 October 2017 Yes! Certainly no harm giving him longer to prove himself given the shite we've been linked with/interviewed. However, John Percy has said Puel will be announced tomorrow.
StanSP Posted 24 October 2017 Posted 24 October 2017 it's going to Puel. If it were to go to Appleton right now, we'd be in a position where he loses or draws a few games in a row and people will be calling for his head and in the same position we're in now. Appleton has said he doesn't even want the manager's role and is happy to honour his contract as an assistant manager. I presume the owners have sought out a manager who would keep Appleton as an assistant manager anyway. Puel is that person.

Surprised it’s taken this long for this topic to appear. Ok we’ve played well and won the last 2 and he’s more of a manger figure than Shakey ever was... but I’m not fully sold on him and think those in charge would rather bring someone in this time.

ZeGuy Posted 24 October 2017 Posted 24 October 2017 NO. He did a very good job and I was really delighted by his subs tonight. But as I said in another thread, no point sacking a newbie to give the job to another one. It was just Leeds B team anyway .
Tielemans63 Posted 24 October 2017 Posted 24 October 2017 Went brilliantly when we gave the last caretaker the gig after a few good performances.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 24 October 2017 Posted 24 October 2017 We are playing the right way now, but we did under Shakey for a few games... we shouldn’t be fooled by this new found confidence.
Webbo Posted 24 October 2017 Posted 24 October 2017 If we were the the championship he'd be a good candidate and he might go on to be a great manager but he's not what we need at the minute.
jim5000 Posted 24 October 2017 Posted 24 October 2017 New manager bounce. If he keeps it up, even if they give him to the end of the season, it's a massive gamble again to give him a 2 year contract next summer. They've just had their fingers burnt by doing exactly that. Can't see them risking the same mistake again.
smr Posted 24 October 2017 Posted 24 October 2017 It won't happen and nor should it, yes we've won both games but Leeds were rubbish tonight, they didn't challenge us at all apart from that goal. No point in getting carried away with it after two games, and the owners want a big manager with experience and surely the pulling power to attract decent players...

Babylon Posted 24 October 2017 Posted 24 October 2017 Not going to happen... but does make me laugh about those ripping the bloke to pieces and name calling a week ago.
