With a style of play that has cohesion and a real sense of team purpose again. Everyone knows their job and all are buying in and the results are there to see. The players look happy and committed. 

Puel and his staff deserve huge credit for this.

I don't know why Southampton fans and others disliked him and said he was boring. I love his quiet, intelligent and smooth style. Strikes me as a very shrewd operator. Sly as a fox Claude

It's because he doesn't run up and down the touchline. Conte does this and the media love him and call it "passion".

Honestly can't stand Conte and his faux "passion" same for klopp (possibly because I was based in a Dortmund supporting town why he had them at his best)

Puel's never going to be one of those who goes running up the touchline all game or giving a controversial comment in the interviews but it doesn't really matter. Seems very focused on the footballing side of things rather than the 'drama' (what the media are obsessed with) which is probably why he gets some stick. He seems very switched on and I think we'll be better for having him in charge.

He is pretty animated when we score a crucial goal or he feels a decision goes against us. Against Fleetwood and Watford he was livid we didn't get penalties for fouls on Iborra and Mahrez.

His English or confidence, probably both, have improved since he's been here. I don't really care about media handling tbh. As brilliant as Claudio was it did get a bit tiresome when he was constantly giving the press soundbites.

Me too.. I find him a sweet guy and from his performance so far he has a great impact on the players

Personally it will, I'm not one to turn on managers and players. Every team goes through a rough patch at some point, that doesn't mean he's not good at his job.

The fake "passion" thing is for show, to pander to those who are easily persuaded or plain misinformed. Managers know if they show fake passion by being obviously disgruntled, celebrating over the top for goals, and just generally being a dick, the media and fans will buy into this, in a misguided belief that "he cares" or that he knows how to deliver a right good bollocking at half time etc.

 

Its not to necessarily say Conte and Klopp are bad managers for example, but they know this is the case. Their behaviour isnt adding to their expertise of management put it that way. I do think (however insignificant it might seem) Klopp should ditch the tracksuit and at least try to look like someone in a position of seniority too.

 

As a manager, youre not there to head and kick every ball like a lunatic. Youre also not a fan, or a player. You are above the people on the field, and its about making rational and considered decisions to benefit the team. If you spend all your time yelling at the players and jumping around, its pretty much a guarantee theyll stop taking notice of you.

 

From what he has done so far, he has improved the players confidence, improved them technically, and given the team new dimensions that we can use during games, instead of boring, predictable football. Its no longer look for Vardy for the goals. Why not get all areas of the team in on the act. Gray will pick his form back up, Mahrez has been a revelation, and Okazaki has shown great consistency.

 

Why do we need to approach every game with 1000mph fury and look to make every single pass a direct one into space? we dont. Hes given us the confidence to build an attack through the lines. Get the team more compact too, rather than having a deep back four and a striker as high as possible, how about playing as a unit, getting players between the lines, passing it shorter so if we do lose the ball, we can also defend as a unit from the front and recover our shape quicker.

 

His interviews are absolutely no problem. Hes easy to understand if you focus on what he says and his English is more than good enough.

 

Its also clearly not a bounce scenario. Bounce is when you have little or no ideas for change or how to bring change, and your main weapon is for a short period of time, working really really really really hard and bringing back some out of favour players.

 

Soon enough, you find out why the out of players were out of favour, and then gradually, the work really really really hard bit wears off. If youre at work and you know an audit is due, or youre starting a new job, youre always desperate to show you arent the corner cutter, you go above and beyond for a while to prove your character. But it doesnt last, and it doesnt for players. Players start to settle back into a comfort zone like i guess is human nature. And then youre back to square one.

 

Leicester will lose games, and getting into the top 6 any time soon might be extremely hard but we stand a better chance with Puel, and even if we dont, we will have some better football along the way.

The man has passion, he just isn't a Conte or a Klopp and we should be grateful for that!

 It hasn’t for me...  he was like Churchill on steroids...

 

His command of English was flakey,  but, I remember feeling serious pride when in the post West Ham press conference he came out and stated how we were going to try with all our might to win the prem...

 

I was moved over and the players were inspired...  I loved his little speeches

I agree that puel is doing great atm. The only thing is saints season feel away towards the end of the season. I might be wrong but I don't think they scored a goal at home in there last 4/5 games and got 17 points fewer than the season before. If that happened with us the majority would be calling for him to go. It does help when your on a decent run if/when we have a bad run the fans will criticise his lack of passion on the touchline or in press conferences. I am a fan of puels because of his tactical awareness and it seems not having favourites in the squad.
