Nearly a major cock-up there......

I've only just realised this is a 12.30 kick-off.

Just thought I'd mention that for any fellow idiots out there...

Ideal game to rest Vardy and bring in Slimani or Iheanacho. But neither were even in the squad on wednesday. Does this mean Ulloa is higher up the pecking order than those two? And is he likely to play from the start tomorrow? And does Gray (or Albrighton?) replace Mahrez?

Questions, questions!

Puel would be mental to bench Mahrez. He is on fire right now. Also no Ulloa please, would rather we just chuck a youth player in and see what happens.

Also want Palace not to pick up any points from this match as it gives the opportunity for the more-decent clubs in Brighton and Huddersfield the opportunity to be more ahead of them in the relegation battle.

It looks like Ward and Schlupp will be there full backs so you'd want Gray up against Ward for his pace and Mahrez to bamboozle Schlupp.  No Sakho either in central defence so you'd want Vardy to utilise his pace. Pace, skill and movement will scare these to death and I expect them to defend quite deep to compensate so Mahrez and Gray should be essential.

Ward is ruled out, according to ths BBC.

I don't think we can afford to rest Mahrez or Vardy in this game. But if we did, I wouldn't mind seeing Chilwell, Okazaki and Gray behind Iheanacho and seeing how that works out for us. Albrighton and Ulloa on the bench with Vardy and Mahrez also there for insurance.

I'm still concerned at who replaces Vardy if and when he's rested. If it's Ulloa then I think the Puel masterstrokes of late will surely run out of steam, he's just not conductive to the fast free flowing football we now play. I've learnt of late to not get too worked up and see what happens but it would be an obvious weakness if we were to fail to win and Ulloa has started. Vardy probably could do with a breather but we've Iheanacho, Slimani and Musa getting nowhere near the bench.

Rotation of players and styles is always good for the team but some of these players are fit enough to easily play twice a week ...   the rotation helps by offering a different approach (keeps the opposition guessing and also used to experiment) and also means if other players come in due to injury or suspension, they don't come in cold. We are also getting some new younger players blooded.  CP hasn't put a foot wrong to be honest and its obvious he watches all the players and makes his own mind up ...    I'm sure he will pick a team to win ..  and win we shall ...    3-0 !!      (But they might get a couple from corners ...:()

Crystal Palace do present an offensive threat with Benteke,Zaha & Townsend but also appear to have a discipline problem ... Y32, R3, 3.18 cards per game  !!! Maybe Vardy will get under someones skin !

Just the idea that we're in form, at home where we are strong and they're near the bottom so we should walk it. It's not that attitude that's won us all these games since we were back in the PL.

I worry if you go into a game not expecting to have to play well and put in 100% in order to win you will struggle

I not for one minute think CP or our players think that, nor did I infer that. I am confident because of all the points I mentioned.I feel I am rightly justified to feel confident and am happy to say it.

I don't get the twitchy arse myself and if tomorrow did go tits up that's football! I personally wouldn't have a hissy.

I must confess if I'm scanned by the confidenceometer I may take it off the scale :)

Happy Christmas

He put in a shift, was safe and steady overall, and by playing gave old legs Iborra a well earned rest ...    oh, and he scored a goal ...   and don't give me that tap in sh1t, he ran forward to be in the right place at the right time.   He did everything that was asked of him and will now sit on the bench until he is required again ...    model professional.

Ran forward it was a free kick and he was stood at the back post

This game is tricky, early kickoff, Palace will be up for it after Tuesdays win. And Zaha is on fire.

Does Puel stick with Shinji, would be difficult to drop him now. Will Demari be on the bench again! Selection dilemma I’d say.

It's very easy to drop Shinji after playing 90 minutes 3 days before. And he dropped Gray scoring 2 in 2.

POST,   it was a typo is that better

No baldy, still a cr@p post either way ...   he was in the right place at the right time ...   similar to many of the worlds top poaching goal scorers ..   and I doubt he just walked there.

I think we could go with Shinji up top if he really doesn't rate the others.

And have Gray, Albrighton and Mahrez in behind.

Shinji, Gray and albrighton have had rest periods.

Not really a crap post though is it .I suggest you re-watch the goal , he jogged towards the back post then stood there whilst the free kick was taken and was virtually in the same position when Harrry fired  it back in  .  I give you the fact he wasn’t picked up but  that was down to poor defending not  due to his fantastic movement . It was a simple set piece goal nothing more nothing less it was hardly a world class piece of football . The only class bit  was when Harry  chested it down , turned and fired in a cross  and even then he was given too much space .  People keep going on about his goal like it was something top draw I will repeat myself it was a simple set piece goal that any footballer payed thousands of pounds a week  should have been able to put in .
