I think he will revert back to the set up against Newcastle, we will come out the blocks and score early. Then we will sucker punch them with one of our famous counters early in the second half and they will crumble, 4-0. And that’s me being pessimistic.

Rarely seem to offer much threat from them these days to the point that I don't get very excited when we get one. More just a resumption of play.

 

Seemed much more threatening in the past when Morgan and Huth came up. We now have some big lads in midfield as well so ought to be able to at least scare them a bit.

Also he played well. Every single person in the team played a lot more than ok. It was a fantastic performance from every player on the pitch.

 Tend to think he will go maximum creativity here, as we aren't going to struggle getting hold of the ball.

 

This rotation business is really keeping the squad on their toes, with the sad exceptions of our forwards. Think Ulloa looked pretty lean when he has come on, we might need that target man in the last half hour. Slim and Nachoman need to reflect on why Leo is in front of them at the mo.

 

Gray n Iborra in, try and sub Ndidi, Riyad and Vards if we can.

 

Don't mind who is at LB, I trust Claude to make the right call without upsetting the other player. Tinker on.

Can't see it, both were substituted at 70' on Wednesday. If they were going to be rested for the Man City game almost a full week after, surely they could have played the full 90'?

Defending set pieces we look vulnerable so Benteke will be a big threat today, I hope Morgan or Maguire stay tight to him.

This is exactly the type of game where benteke breaks his duck and Palace score their first away goal of the season.

Funnily enough me and a mate discussed the fact that Simmo has never scored for city so I checked his odds. 66-1, even dragovic is 50-1 and highly unlikely to get on!
