You were champions for a reason two years ago, because you have good players, you tore teams to ribbons with your pace when this run from bottom of the league to champions started.

But certain players started falling into bad habits from early playing days including the likes of morgan , hoofing long ball stuff , you got trapped into teams reading your style and the ball over the top

Puel and appelton though its early days have obviously seen a new ways to surprise teams, such as last night changing the team up going with a different system and tearing southampton a new ribbon, even dropping the inform albrighton last night to accomodate a different system.

The key to this league is not being predictable, my team arsenal (yes I come in peace again) fall into the trap of being easy to read to often, Wenger brilliant as he is has often been to easy to read, it took him till almost being sacked last year to try a different system and it won us a facup. the key is not being predictable and always developing your style of play.

lets see if you can keep it going I think you can.

Most of us on here are surprised by our good run. Look how many people in the Soton pre match thread said they'd be delighted with a point.

Because we are leicester. Even winning the league by 10pts third placed spuds played better and deserved it more. We get used to the shite and big six bias of the london press and idiotic so called experts.

Because the media THINK we are a hoof it counter attack team thats one dimensional.

That style wasnt producing results.

What the media havent worked out yet is several subtleties to our play and our style has changed with Puel coming in.

Its not about counter attack bash and hope. Its ONE tool we have buy not the ONLY one.

But the media havent figured this out yet and think the upturn is unexpected.

to be fair there are plenty on here that have been surprised judging by comments when things were not going so well :D

On a separate note - if you are an Arsenal fan how come you come across rational and sane?

We have some really good players, we really should be somewhere around 4th-6th with the quality in our team.

Edited for you.

We'll do it, @Finnegan will probably agree via his earlier topic.

It looked like a few of our players were finished and we lacked a manager that conveyed a clear vision of what he wanted our players to do.

I had a right laugh at a Newcastle fan giving it big licks on Twitter about our style of play before, and bizarre during the game against them last week. Suppose it shows the reputation we now have in a way although I think that'll quickly go, and I'd imagine if we turn over either Manchester side in front of the Sky cameras we'll get a bit more attention. We're still largely going under the radar really, we're in far better form than people realise.

Puel has made us very hard to predict. He's rotating most games and it's working a treat. Rotating the players enough to keep them happy while using them in different tactical variations to keep us hard to second guess. It's ideal.

Im not to be honest, its like Shakey said when it falls back in place again it will... the start is happening we have Silva to come in potentially Ben Arfa and we'r looking at a lad from Hoffenheim.. good times ahead.

I mean, we were exactly that since we won the league. I'm surprised by how well we've managed to change our style successfully as well lol

Don't think it would have just fallen back in place under Shakespeare as he would have continued with his one dimensional style of football... Puel has started his revolution and long may it continue!

You are far too rational to be an Arsenal fan, presumably you've lost your Wenger-tinted glasses somewhere on the Victoria Line.

In the world of media, you have to have something to talk about and it needs to be at the extremes of things to make it interesting enough to attract attention... people don’t generally read bland stuff.

Therefore i’m not sure the media are that suprisied by our turnaround in truth, but it is still a reasonable talking point, alongside milkgate and so the story has been jazzed up accordingly - just like how Burnley are also flavour of the month at the moment, whilst all mentions of Watford have rescinded.

No team without NG can be better

however, even if we were as good, united and Man City are much improved on two season ago

The media are idiots.

They like many of our own fans believe that we were and always have been a team with lower to mid table players that can win the league by 10pts, and be the nations best performers in the CL the following season.

Thereafter reverting to the mean to be forever also rans; Our rightful position in the footballing world.

All those accused above, could not believe that the club had very talented players, and had a manager that could make such a difference.

They've since convinced themselves we didn’t win it; Spurs ‘lost it’ at Chelsea despite  going into that game 8pts behind us etc etc.

Its the same now, albeit the samples is of a handful of games; not 16 months worth of results.

Plas we aren’t in Landon so are insignificant.

Much of the football media nowadays - especially tv and radio - is populated by dimwit ex pros who not only speak garbled English but would appear to be actively encouraged by their editors to utter heavily-opinionated, unsubstantiated tosh so that they stir up anger and controversy on social media and phone-ins.

That is the world we live in. The Clown Pundit (Savage, Merson, Kamara etc) is a sign of the times. If we all ignored them or mocked them as the talentless buffoons they are, rather than rising to the bait and encouraging them, their lifespan would be cut short. But we don't.

Personally, when I want to read about or discuss Leicester City, I ignore the worthless views of 'outsiders' and come on here.
