Surely Albrighton can slot in as a regular RB, although with Gray and Mahrez as wingers it might not be strong enough defensively. Doesn't look like it's without much preparation though, we switch to a 3ATB formation quite often, so it's being worked on in training.
foxes21 Posted 24 December 2017 Share Posted 24 December 2017 Don't see a reason to change formation to be honest.. Albrighton is perfectly capable. Think we do need to rotate a little bit though, to keep some players fresh. Schmeichel Albrighton, Dragovic, Maguire, Chilwell Mahrez, King, N'didi, Gray Okazaki Vardy
Jobyfox Posted 24 December 2017 Share Posted 24 December 2017 You don’t have to be right footed to play at right back. I would’ve thought that Fuchs would be experienced enough to play there. Then Chillers could come in at LB. An option maybe?

HybridFox Posted 24 December 2017 Share Posted 24 December 2017 Potential banana skin game. Title-winning season aside, it doesn't tend to be a good away day for us. Here's hoping Puel cracks it!
Harry S Posted 24 December 2017 Share Posted 24 December 2017 we have benalouane, darnell johnson, josh knight, dragovic who can all play defence at least 1 of them could play RB, couldnt they?
Harry S Posted 24 December 2017 Share Posted 24 December 2017 We COULD do 3 at the back, a bit risky but dragovic maguire and morgan could be decent.

Surely the players could let him know about it. Have we not already played 3-5-2 already once this season under Puel? Or am I dreaming it?

Bazly Posted 24 December 2017 Share Posted 24 December 2017 Watford are down on players with lots of suspensions and injuries and down on form and down on goal scoring. No better time to try out a back 3..

It's not like the players haven't played it before and it allows us to get three in the middle to cover the extra workload of so many games in 9 days. i expect to see four though. I believe puel will see 'richarlisson' on the left as too big a threat to have a wing back up against him

Farrington fox Posted 24 December 2017 Share Posted 24 December 2017 I think this game is now winnable if we go about it as we did against Southampton. Watford are looking a bit vulnerable at the back imo.
