Not sure messing about with a new back 3 formation with little preparation time is a great idea?

Surely Albrighton can slot in as a regular RB, although with Gray and Mahrez as wingers it might not be strong enough defensively.

Doesn't look like it's without much preparation though, we switch to a 3ATB formation quite often, so it's being worked on in training.

Don't see a reason to change formation to be honest.. Albrighton is perfectly capable.

Think we do need to rotate a little bit though, to keep some players fresh.

Schmeichel

Albrighton, Dragovic, Maguire, Chilwell

Mahrez, King, N'didi, Gray

Okazaki

Vardy

Watford have been dogo recently - need the 3 to make it feel a reasonable Christmas. Lose and it suddenly feels like we’ve lost that loving feeling.

We’re usually suckers for a charity case, so this could be another banana skin like Crystal Palace.

we have benalouane, darnell johnson, josh knight, dragovic who can all play defence at least 1 of them could play RB,

couldnt they?

None of those are natural right backs and obviously neither are Chilly or Fuchs

To me Albrighton is a natural wing back so seems an obvious solution to play 3 at the back with probably Chilly as the left wing back

Watford are down on players with lots of suspensions and injuries and down on form and down on goal scoring. No better time to try out a back 3..

We are not going to change formation just because we don't have a specialist rb.

Personally I think that Albrighton could be a revelation there.  Imagine him doubling up with Mahrez on the right.

You should score at least 2/3..

Hey mate, which one of your players is the most out of form at the minute and not scored for years!?  Need to lump all my Christmas money on a first goal scorer!!

I agree with you but I think it makes  sense. It's not like the players haven't played it before and it allows us to get three in the middle to cover the extra workload of so many games in 9 days.

i expect to see four though. I believe puel will see 'richarlisson' on the left as too big a threat to have a wing back up against him

I thought Johnson was a RB that could fill in at CB.
