Gerard Posted 5 January 2018 Posted 5 January 2018 “Ahmed Musa is a very influential player who will be able to add value and class to us,” 3
Popular Post kyleolly Posted 5 January 2018 Popular Post Posted 5 January 2018 Just had a tenner @500/1 for Musa to win the golden boot at the World Cup 3 5
MC Prussian Posted 5 January 2018 Posted 5 January 2018 He'll do just fine in the Süper Lig, they'll love his speed and trickery and it's generally a very exciting league to watch. Just make sure to include a buyout clause for Bursaspor. 2
Legend_in_blue Posted 5 January 2018 Posted 5 January 2018 I look forward to the obligatory youtube video at the end of the season just to see what we've missed... 1
Popular Post VLC86 Posted 5 January 2018 Popular Post Posted 5 January 2018 “Do you want Musa?” ”No” “Do you want Musa?” ”No“ “Do you want Musa?” ”No“ ”Do you want Slimani?” ”Yes please” ”Ok.... 19
Tuna Posted 5 January 2018 Posted 5 January 2018 Hang on a minute, we're not lending him some cash for another Petrol Station then?
Foxxed Posted 5 January 2018 Posted 5 January 2018 Couldn't we have loaned him out to another European club? I mean, saying he's lit the Turkish league alight is like saying he lit the Russia league alight. If he succeeds we'll still have no idea if he's good enough for the Premiership. May as well get rid. 1

The Turkish league is considerably better than the Russian leauge. But... I take your point. 1
Sampson Posted 6 January 2018 Posted 6 January 2018 Probably the worse signing in the club's history. 2

volpeazzurro Posted 6 January 2018 Posted 6 January 2018 If he goes out on loan, whilst we may get some of his wages back, he'll possibly be rewarded with a place in the World Cup and we'll still get him back and be stuck with him. If he's desparate to get to the World Cup and have any future football career, best to get rid a vastly reduced fee whilst still able to get anything. I just feel he appears to be happy to stay here, pull his wages and buy petrol stations.

Surely not - if he goes out on loan and does well at Besiktas, Bursaspor or anybuggerSpor then the following will likely happen: 1) His stock rises again 2) The team taking him on loan will be more likely to pay a higher fee for him 3) He gets a world cup place (if he does well here, others might also take a chance for a higher fee too). If he does shit, we take the reduced fee in the summer. The loan might represent a gamble but we could recoup most of the £16million we paid. Edited 7 January 2018 by LCCFox96

Possibly if he went on loan somewhere in Europe but doubt he'd even get noticed at Pisspoorspor.

He got noticed enough playing in Russia for us to fork £16mil. On that basis a move to Turkey probably won't see him much worse off, especially if he plays well and also makes the Nigeria squad for the World Cup
somebum Posted 7 January 2018 Posted 7 January 2018 Atrocious player worse than Akinbiyi ! Awful first touch, no brain, just awful

Best case scenario he rips the Turkish league apart, goes to the World Cup and scores a couple of wonder goals. Anything is surely better then playing with the U23s.
Popular Post Monsell1976 Posted 7 January 2018 Popular Post Posted 7 January 2018 He’s not as poor as some are making out, needs games to find form and confidence, a loan or permanent move away would be best, as he won’t find form or confidence as he won’t get a regular run. 12

It was also stated that he wasn't a winger but a forward (a future Vardy type). He turned out to have the close skills of a level 5 player. He was physically weak, on the amount of money he's been on he should be down the gym each day to rectify that. In fairness all that time ago when I saw him live against Everton, he did look a better forward than a winger. I just don't think he wants it enough. 3
FLAN Posted 8 January 2018 Posted 8 January 2018 I can confirm he was offered to our 5 a side team but his first touch took it off the pitch every time
