Wow.

The thing that is on our side is that some "big" clubs are affected so the sentence will be low ..... If it was just little clubs like us they'd all get banned for 6 years "to make an example"!

......this probably explain the fall off in his performance. I suspect he had been informed of the pending investigation and this has had a massive drain on his ability to play.

I wonder how much backing the club will give officially as they are not keen with dealing with the media!!!!!

Are we just unlucky or is this a lack of homework.

Unfortunately, that's a rhetorical question.

If we didn't know about this, we should have. If we did, we shouldn't have signed him.

Another black mark against those who work on the transfers at the club.

Do we actually do any homework on players? If this is true it’s another example of shoddy ness (is that a word?) in our recruitment dealings.

Have to agree...

It’s ok, I’m joking, I only did it to make you feel guilty! Did it work?

He won't face a ban, if at all he'll be forced to pay a (hefty) sum as penalty.

For match fixing? If he has had any part of it, even if it is just accepting the money then he should be banned for life. Same with all of them. There can be a zero tolerance on match fixing. Zaragoza and Levante should be kicked out of La Liga. It cannot be dealt with lightly if considered to be match fixing.
