  1. 1. Which one was better?

West Brom - 4/5

Technically the hardest, loved the way it zoomed into the corner. Keeper had no chance. Decent celebration.

Liverpool - 5/5

Between the two in terms of technique. Summed the season up perfectly and it's the most memorable goal of the most memorable season.

Spurs - 4/5

Technically the easiest, although that says more about the other two. Amazing celebration. Made Spurs look like mugs so extra points for that.

West Brom easy. All great goals.

Liverpool the easiest and luckiest:ph34r: but it goes in and it's beautiful.

Spurs is speed of thought and application. Stunning piece of skill executed perfectly.

Wba is world class. He's watching it all the way. If he takes a touch to control the ball he risks breaking his stride and the defender catching him.

Judgement and connection again perfect.

West Brom is ridiculous, ball travels a long way, over the shoulder, weak foot and hits it perfectly. He probably wouldn't be able to do it again.

I like the Spurs goal, done exactly what he wanted to do.

I think if it had fallen on his right foot, he probably would've tried to belt it & hit row Z

The goal v Liverpool was one of the best goals ever.  Ever.

But to go off on a tangent and have a good old rant ...

Why do so many people not know what a volley is?    It really is very simple.

The Oxford Dictionary defines a volley as thus:

"(in sport, especially tennis or football) a strike or kick of the ball made before it touches the ground."

Note those important words "before it touches the ground".

If you receive the ball from someone else, and the ball touches the ground before you kick it ... IT IS NOT A VOLLEY.

If the ball is off the ground when you kick it, it is just a shot.

West Brom for me technically brilliant, following the ball for that amount of distance and letting it drop over your shoulder and controlling it that well to put it bottom corner is unreal. All that with your weak foot as well! If it incredible you wont see a better technical goal this season.

Goal of the season for sure.

The spurs one was just so clever. It’s splitting hairs really.

Spurs strike: less time to think but still does exactly what he needs to do.

Wba: longer to decide what to do he has to judge the flight and trajectory and gets it perfect

I think West Brom was the hardest one, so technically the best.

But that volley against Liverpool is just pornographic, also in the context of the title winning season.

And this.

To be a pedant, the one against Liverpool wasn't a volley. Therefore I've voted WBA. All 3 are wonderful though.

I voted WBA.  I've been peaked.

WBA by a country mile. Serious contender for the goal of the season.

Against Liverpool, which was in itself a thing of beauty, the ball bounced once before he shot, and one could argue the GK shouldn't have been so far from his line. The sheer difficulty of volleying a 50 yards pass under the rain, with the weak foot and in first intent is still something not everyone can fathom here. There is no keeper in the world that would have been able to stop that delicate volley in that far bottom corner. Poetry in motion.

Liverpool's volley might be the most spectacular but West Brom's is one of the finest goal I've ever seen.

The Liverpool one will live on forever. The length of Ryiad's pass from a difficult position and the power of the shot after a deft adjustment is pornographic. It's amazing we have these two players. One of the finest finishers and one of the finest passers in the league. And we found them and we developed them. Surely the finest partnership in the entire history of Leicester City football club.
