What happened to the Jamie Vardy film ?

It suddenly went very quiet, have they scrapped it, is it still in the pipeline, anybody know ? Would be a real shame if they have because it would have showcased our most amazing year.

Doubt it'll happen for some time, those sorts of films are usually done decades after the event.

Producing a movie involves a lot of time, money and patience. The title-winning season is only two years away, and from first idea to production, it can take between four to ten years before it hits the screen - including countless script re-writes, securing finances, assembling the cast and crew, finding the appropriate shooting locations, etc. etc.

The idea still has to get green light - might as well be that they've binned the concept completely by now.

If it goes through, the picture won't be out before 2020.

Last time I looked the production looked something like this:

Adrien Butchart - head writer, producer. Made Goal films.

Simon Egan and Gareth Ellis-Unwin - producers. Won an Oscar for the Kings Speech

Paul Tamasy and Eric Johnson - screenwriters. Nominated for an Oscar for The Fighter. Also did Patriot's Day.

Not sure what's happening with it. Probably waiting to see what happens at the WC

They've struggled to find an actor who can run that fast so the production has been handed over to the makers of the Benny Hill show. Expect a soundtrack of a faster version of Post Horn Gallop accompanying scenes of Jamie being chased by centre halves, nurses, nuns and assorted totty.

Would love it if Kane's scenes about us being dunder dressure, sorry, under pressure came with authentic diction and subtitles.

Plenty of time for us to win it gain then.

And won the premier league with a complete underdog of a team?

The underdog part is irrelevant if it’s about the player. Pretty sure Ian Wright won a title.
