Incredibly we are in the same league position as the wages we pay. Let's see if that's true come the end of the season!

"We know what we are"

"We know what we aaaaare"

"A mid table team paying mid table wages, playing mid table football with mid table players and a mid table manager to mid table attendances".

"We know what we are"

Newcastle fans will be happy if they win but then again gutted because it probably means Ashley won't give their Rafa money to spend in the transfer window if they keep showing an up turn in form..

I thought he wouldnt leave due to losing to much if he breaks his contract, but also is yet to renew it so when it runs out he is gone? He cant have much longer left... Could be wrong though and thats all changed now :D

We are literally average in every department lol it's fine being average if you have some sort of aim and direction which we do.

That wages table really does highlight what a sensational job Pochettino has done really.

Unless it doesn't include bonuses.....

Consistency of refereeing is a pain but I'm glad the ref pulled up Maddison for diving and wish it happened more to try and stamp it out.

With VAR coming in, it would be good to see free kicks given against divers but in the same position in the opposite box, I don't think a yellow card is sufficient punishment, it only really hampers one player (unless it's a 2nd such as Saturday). To give a free kick in the opposite box puts the offending team under pressure and would make sure that gaffers stopped players even attempting a dive.

Everything went right for them last season. That doesn't happen every season. They were always unlikely to produce as many 1-0 victories, which was absolutely key for them.

Last season for Burnley was the equivalent of our title win for us. ;)

And people think some of my suggestions are off the wall.

What happened to them? They've become god awful lately, against an emotionally and physically drained us they were crap.

They can't blame the Europa league as they weren't in it long.

May be a case similar to Wigan where they just can't keep at this level?

I was shocked how bad they have been. They were the ultimate grafters last year, every game they played you knew the opposition were in for a battle. I didn't see that against us, and they carried almost no threat going forwards.

Bizarre.

I'd much prefer if something in-between yellow/reds was introduced, like a 15-min sin bin that carries over to the next game if it goes past FT. Punishes the whole team temporarily, but without being quite as harsh as a straight sending off.

This is probably the reaction that other fans of teams (especially boro, hull & Burnley) had of us during the 16/17 season.

What's happened to Wolves, thought they were Champions League?

Suffering the same slump we faced after winning the league.

Yeah, a shocking result for us on the face of it. They are shit

We should have won and created enough to win again, even under the circumstances. Story of many of our games really!

Absolutely, we must start getting more wins at home if we're serious about progression. Our away form is not too bad.

I've been in favour of this for a long time :appl:

They used to play a little football, always pressed and were resolute in defence.

They literally resorted to long ball, they looked like a newly promoted team. It was really surprising to see how they've changed so much. They hadn't lost any key players?

They lost Brady for quite a while, but he was on the bench against us. They had the look of a team who thought they'd cracked it, but they took their foot off the gas slightly thinking the league was easy.
