Interesting parallel with the actual league table.

Things we already knew but this is further confirmation.

Burnley massively over performed last season (presuming the table was similar then)

We're not really far off where we should be, all to play for.

Man Utd either massively over pay, massively under perform or both.

It's never that black and white but the table is remarkably similar to the actual table.

All the more reason I wouldnt mind seeing Cardiff stay up.

Would've thought Wolves would be higher than that.

Payments made directly to agents must not be figured in.

How is it a surprise? They're higher up than the other promoted clubs but behind clubs that have been paying Premier League wages in the Premier League for several years ? Of course they would have been paying Neves a fair wedge but I doubt Conor Coady and Ryan Bennett are or were on 50k.

Burnley v Toon

Medical emergency in the tunnel delays game until 8:30

Apparently it's not to do with any immediate staff from either club.

Kick-off at Turf Moor was pushed back by half an hour until 8.30pm after referees’ assessor Eddie Wolstenholme collapsed in the tunnel. Wolstenholme was taken to hospital conscious but referee Anthony Taylor and the Premier League decided to delay the start of the match. Wolstenholme was formerly a Premier League referee who retired from officiating in 2003."

That wages table really does highlight what a sensational job Pochettino has done really.

And Levy.

Wages comparatively low, youngish promising manager and no one clambering to leave. Not yet anyway.

You get what you pay for I guess.  If you look at the PL table by squad value Man City are top, then Liverpool.  Cardiff are bottom, then Huddersfield.  We're eighth.

I could just about forgive Burnley for lighting a match to their EL place, if they were serving up anything but utter shite to defend their place in the PL.  More and more I think it would serve them right to go down.

The fivethirtyeight statheads have them ranked dead-last among PL clubs in their power index for the last month or so.

What happened to them? They've become god awful lately, against an emotionally and physically drained us they were crap.

They can't blame the Europa league as they weren't in it long.

May be a case similar to Wigan where they just can't keep at this level?

Everything went right for them last season. That doesn't happen every season. They were always unlikely to produce as many 1-0 victories, which was absolutely key for them.

Decent little soundbytes coming through the pitchside mics.

"Geddon wiv it ya bastudd!"

"Uuk off!"

Hoping for another lively second half

Newcastle fans will be happy if they win but then again gutted because it probably means Ashley won't give their Rafa money to spend in the transfer window if they keep showing an up turn in form..
