The final is normally on Sunday but Brighton aren't in it. Only way they'll be playing Sunday is if Chelsea don't reach the final. Otherwise, they'll have a weekend off, we'll have played Palace on the Saturday and a Tuesday game is fine

Even if that were done, players would just pick the most successful clubs challenging for trophies all the time and no-one else would stand a chance. Cap it all! Players wouldn't sign for man united to make 5 mill a year when they could sign for leicester for 15 mill a year. Money talks. I recognize it would be more complex to think out how we could use caps to make it more competitive but something has to happen.

SuperMike Posted 10 January 2019 Posted 10 January 2019 Well. Man City put 7 past Rotherham. Tottenham put 7 past Tranmere. Man City then score 9 against Burton. Wow - what the heck are we gonna do against lowly Newport County?.... .......Goodness, surely not??? Nice one Claude.

Yeah but the difference is Manchester City and The Spuds aren't battling it out for 7th place!... Isn't that right Claude?
Babylon Posted 10 January 2019 Posted 10 January 2019 Arnautavic wants to go to China... West Ham don't have much luck with their idols do they. At least ours want to go to big clubs and not Marseille and China.

Guest MattP Posted 10 January 2019 Posted 10 January 2019 Tough call for Arnautovic. Play under dictators, getting rich but in a half empty soulless stadium for a team barely anyone has heard of or care about. Or go to China.

Spudulike Posted 10 January 2019 Posted 10 January 2019 "Craig: Imagine if Burton still make the final... that would stop Leicester fans from claiming the biggest shock in football history!" Getting fed up of this 'Lil 'ol Leicester crap everytime an underdog grabs some limelight. From the BBC
Gillies Apprentice Posted 10 January 2019 Posted 10 January 2019 Charlie Austen just been banned for two games so misses our game on Sat .

Bit of inconsistency from the FA because Deeney didn't get banned for sticking two fingers up at Chelsea fans last season but he has been done for comments made about the officials after our game at Bournemouth. Austin wasn't charged after his famous "park life " rant in November . Maybe they need to get their banning quotas up !! Or maybe it wa one naughty action too much .

We bid a bit more than Marseille but the player wanted to go there. I remember the Marseille president sneering at us saying that Marseille do not go in for the same calibre players as Leicester City and basically pulled out. That turned out well for him

That turned out well for him I thought that second one was when their scouts recommended Mahrez in January 2015? Their president insisted Mahrez couldn't be a worthwhile target if he played for Leicester. The egg on his face should feed an entire village at this point
