We won the Uhren Cup today. Beat Young Boys 4-0, after beating Basel 2-1 the other day.

Wooo and all that.

How cruel.

Makes you wonder if we should have waited till after the world cup to sell Mahrez.

Selling Mahrez before the end of the world cup was only to Man City and Mahrez's benefit. Not ours, as the transfer merry go round starts up in earnest.

That's twice Man City have had our pants down. The Mahrez deal and Iheanacho's deal.

That's somewhat redundant a deduction.

Manchester United knew well enough that they could be missing a lot of players at the start of the new season, depending on the outcome at the World Cup.

It'd be foolish not to have a contingency plan at hand. Or at least foolish to complain about the situation.

Felipe Anderson has gone now.

That's actually the first signing announcement video that's any good! Can't believe it came from Wet Spam

All of theirs have been good so far, really well made. And at 10am on a Sunday! Doubt we’d ever be treated to that lol

West Ham’s transfers are definitely done by David Sullivan’s son and his success on Football Manager.

Its like a recipe where someone has thrown in all sorts of different, expensive flavours and expects it to work.

Will be interesting to see how West Ham get on.

Had an interesting debate about them this morning. On the face of it they're signing names, but they look like they're building an entire new 11. Being West Ham, wouldn't surprise me a bit if they tank, the players don't gel and they finish lower mid table.

Yeah I think the same. But with Pelligrini? I always thought he was a good appointment for them.

As someone already pointed out, they signed plenty of names last summer too.

It can't be stated enough that it all depends on the manager. Wolves signed 12 players last summer but it was the manager who instilled the formation, organisation and style of play. Everything comes from him. Plenty of teams with top players underachieve when the manager isn't right (Moyes at Man Utd , Liverpool under Hodgson, etc).
