At this critical chance to walk the walk, he caved on the sub -- then worse. The 20 seconds it took him to walk off into the tunnel, before turning back, was another show of emotional surrender. It gave the lie to his post-match spin about a misunderstanding. He has no way back as a leader there. A club that cannot bring in new players for a year, won’t back a weak manager over a £72m keeper. Which will make the next guy’s job even tougher. Who would manage Chelsea? His constant bitching and moaning will lead to him being singled out if he carries on. His tackle on Tielemens on Saturday was a very poor challenge and could have hurt him and if that was the other way round he'd have been kicking off again saying he gets treated unfairly.
