I thought we came out of the Chelsea / DD deal very well, a great bit of business made to feel even better by the manner in which it was conducted.

Bar the Adrien Silva 14 seconds faff.

That aside, Silva + Iborra + a few million change for Drinkwater was superb business.

I'm not quite sure where the "14seconds faff" fits into the Chelsea / DD deal....:dunno:

Get the feeling this one is set to drag on well in to the summer. Silly really, as City were trying to get a deal done at the end of January.

Point of order

There's only one 'City' on here, or anywhere actually

If twitter sources are to be believed then we aren't budging on Roberts coming the other way in the deal. We want him in the deal to adhere to FFP which would make sense. Apparently mcfc want to sell separately but we ain't budging. Would make sense.

Is this the LCFCHQ guy, if so I don't believe him. Anyway I would have thought straight cash is better than cash+player for FFP purposes? An extra player on the books means more wages to pay.

I reckon we've insisted on Roberts being included, because we've realised that what Man City want to pay in straight cash is no where near our valuation, and that's the only way of getting the valuations closer. Man City might be closing in on FFP issues themselves, so can't just pay the first price quoted for what buying clubs want any more.

They were clearly connected. We didn't come out of that deal looking too pretty when Silva's registration was blocked.

It was and that's why I said if twitter is to be believed. Your theory of prices is what I've said all along. My posts weeks ago were saying that I don't believe we'd drop our valuation to 60-75m when we all know the owners and club value him higher and why shouldn't they.

I've always referred to us as Leicester. City are referred to as City.

I meant more in terms of timing. My concern is to set a time when this must be done. i don't want this going right to the end of the window leaving us no

time for a replacement or further investment in the squad. The money received for Danny DID represent excellent business.

Leicester and City for me. "Off down the City on Saturday". Man City aren't entitled to City alone.

Maybe it's living away from Leicestershire, I have to say "Leicester" for anyone to know who I am talking about.

A few years ago I shouted "Come on City" during a game against Man City and some berk had a go at me for it.

Should have told them to bugger off! At the ground I'll shout "come on" both Leicester and CIty regardless of opposition.

You do sort of have to if you're not around Leicestershire!

One of my mates supports the Manchester based city club and I always refer to us as "city" around him.  Don't let them own it.

I met a bloke on holiday once who was from Manchester and told me he supported "Citeh", I told him excitedly I did as well.  I then looked baffled as he started talking about Man City and said I thought when you said "City" you meant Leicester.

I think he thought I was trolling him and I was a bit of a dick but it was worth it to annoy him thinking they have exclusivity that "City" means Manchester.

File under Saga?

Does this mean Mahrez will be middle-aged by the time Man City sign him?

In fairness, we do the same to Cov fans.

They will always be Man City to me, they don’t own shit. I can’t believe we are letting them shaft us again over this, we will be left with zero time to get in a ‘replacement’ and we’ll start the season on the back foot. Either get it sorted pronto or back out. Like has been said, there needs to be a deadline if there isn’t one.

FFS If Mahrez was going he'd be gone by now? Not like he's playing in a World Cup or anything. It ain't happening, and anybody pretending to be ITK otherwise is full of shit. Close thread until something actually happens because it's boring as shit.
