Knew this would be a Rashford rim fest.

oh look now it's anti Vardy.

Apparently Vardy isn't at Rashfords level. Despite the best chance conversion rate in the country.

Do people rate Keylor Navas? lol

Most think that Real could do better

If he saved it Dixon would have rubbed his willy about how unlucky Rashford was and that a keeper that hadn't won 4 of the last 5 champions leagues would probably have let it in.

Mans a moron.

I think Ian Wright and Lee Dixon called it right about Vardy.

He's not playing for Leicester on the counter where he can get in behind. It's  Costa Rica and they're not going to push up too much so he's going to have drop deeper at times to find the space.

Whats been said?

He needs to come deep to receive the ball apparently.

Fat chance of that when noone is picking him out with a sensible pass in the first place.

I'll just carry on watching an apparently different game then.

Unpopular as it might be, but he needs to do more. Whether it's run a channel or drop a little deeper. Standing on a defenders shoulder for 90 minutes in a team that won't play quick ball is pointless.

Exactly. An honest account.

you can bet your house that if Vardy made the runs deep that Wright/Dixon said he should have, they'd be moaning that there's no-one up front occupying the defenders/being on the last shoulder. Can't win with some pundits and I usually like those 2!

Wrong sort of game for Vardy, Costa Rica are playing deep. The space is in front not behind the defenders.

Againts a better side when are good at holding the ball and attacking he’s be great, but this isn’t the sort of game for him unless they push out

This really does show why Wembley needs to be binned.

agree he is only going to be dangerous against side that are capable of attacking against us, this will only come in the knock out stages so wouldn't be surprised to not see him feature until Belgium if not later

The whole ITV set up is shite really. I don’t like Tyldsley as a commentator and Hoddle does my head in.

Poogash is a crap presenter who tries too hard and Lee Dixon has the personality of a dead fish. Wrighty’s OK

And I’m bored shitless of the Verve’s Bitter Sweet Symphony intro.

Looking forward to the BBC games tbh

Wembley was more "magical" when it was rarely used.

When the Cup semis, friendlies against Andorra and all the bloody home games of one of the top flight clubs are played there, it loses the mystique.

Incidentally at the end of the clip where they were saying Vardy needed to drop in and look for the ball, his and the defenders' positioning meant a good ball in behind to him from Delph or Rose would have left Vardy 1 on 1.

True but he's probably playing under orders.

He comes deeper at times for Leicester and we know he isn't lazy.

I assume Southgate is happy with him keeping three or their defenders occupied and pushing their defensive line back tbf. If they weren't sat so deep, Rashford wouldn't have the space he's in would he?

Pretty sure Vardy has been making runs and coming deep but players are literally not even looking to pass to him. None of them get their heads up.

Rose can’t cross, Rashford won’t cross and Loftus-Cheek’s first touch is always backwards.

Another example of an English team having loads of the ball but creating no chances.
