How on earth is Muller only 28? Feels like he's been around forever and he looks about 40!

Tbf he looked late thirties when he was 20 at South Africa 2010

Pearce does come out with some baws, doesn't he?

When he was saying just before the goal that the other teams have played attacking football because Spain and Portugal set a good example, I wanted Phil Neville to slot him and take over rather than agree.

Really all over Germany here, the counter is so quick

[StanSP]

A game like this with end to end action and Pearce finds a way to talk about petrol prices ffs

[Kitchandro]

Just pass the ball Vela ffs.

[UniFox21]

Vela is a greedy one, few times passing the ball would have set up chances

[Bob Weasel Fox]

Mexico deserve it so far

[lestajigs]

Like **** are Germany gonna win the World Cup very poor

[Countryfox]

Better than Spain Portugal ?? ..

[spacemunky]

You know it was a great half when you can't believe it's over already.

[Bert]

"They full deserve their 1-0 victory at half time." I despair Phil.

[Jimothy]

Anyone else get the impression Pearce thinks Germany should have taken Sane?

[AKCJ]

Neither Kimmich nor Hummels are interested in defending. Mexico just soak up Germany's weak attacks and bomb on and are looking very dangerous on the break.

Would be nice to see Germany flop.

Germany must be a joy to support. Always look so assured right from the off. They could yet still lose this game of course but they rarely mess up group qualification.

Depending on the second half, it very well could be.

[ScouseFox]

this has been well fun

Fantastic game, love the atmosphere from the Mexican fans, absolutely superb stuff compared to some of the guff we've been served so far.

Also loved the ref booking someone for time wasting. Imagine that in the PL, Mike Dean would point to his watch for the next 60 minutes then bravely book the GK seven minutes into added time...

[AKCJ]

France won the world cup in 1998 Gary.

[MC Prussian]

German back four all over the place. Expect one or two more Mexico goals in this. Lovely game.

[ARTY_FOX]

Mexico have been brilliant so far. Pace causing all sorts of problems.

Guaranteed we don't utilise Vardy against these teams that play a high defensive line. Leaving it until it's too late and that will be the downfall of England.

has he ever even scored a free-kick??

Exactly, it's definitely not something he's renowned for, Phil was chatting absolute carp

[foxes_rule1978]

Germany look all over the place, no organisation at all...

[Finnegan]

Those Mexicans in Berlin

[stix]

Germany didn’t win the World Cup in ‘98 Gary you nonce.

If Southgate doesn’t, then I would be quite shocked given what Vardy does to the top 6 in the PL. I think he will certainly use him
