Harry Maguire has been the best England defender all world cup. How long until one of the supposed big boys puts a serious bid in? Would we accept 50m?

Why would we? Marhez going is going to rein in some decent revenue, we're not in desperate need for more.We would be on our way to being the new Southampton and continued selling of your best players  in  the hope of replacing with cheaper better players is the road to disaster. It also signals that we are a selling smaller club. Don't think our owners are daft.

Owners have showed with Riyad that we aren't push overs when it comes to selling players, and I think with Maguire the owners would even more try to enforce the value that VVD went to Liverpool for, which I feel like a lot of the big clubs would be wary of spending.

Also feel like Maguire wouldn't be the kind of person to kick up a fuss big time like Riyad did when we said no to offers.

You are joking right?

We're not dead and we're not looking like it either so "the vultures" can bob right off. Let Mahrez go if he wants and keep Maguire, Vards, N'didi

Concerned about ManU & Maguire, they pay any money if they want a player, especially one keeping Smalling out of the England setup for the next foreseeable near decade - so give him a good wedge and let him know he's appreciated.

He signed a 5 year contract, also the owners have played hardball with Mahrez for two season. They will not be bullied into selling.

Him having such a good world cup, could work in our favour for signing players, it shows you can play for LCFC and be successful.

Good point.

5-10 years ago I'd be worried that we'd sell our best players to d'bigclubz.

These days we have literally the best owners in football who are ambitious as **** and have proven that they will absolutely not be bullied into selling our best players to the big clubs.

The vultures can circle all the ****ing want but there's no way we're selling Harry!

He wouldn't want to go anyway, what would be the point? He's a nailed on starter for us every week, nailed on starter for England and we'd pay him whatever he wants. Boys got it good, doubt he'd rock the boat at all.

I cant see the owners selling 2 of our best players in 1 window. Mahrez will go now and maybe Harry next year probably followed by Ndidi the year after.

People here slightly overrate Maguire.

The only thing I will say is that he's looked very good against the attacking prowess of Tunisia,  Panama,  Colombia and Sweden.. Let's see what happens when he's up against the likes of lukaku and the mighty Kramaric!

I never, ever agree with this bloke - but to some extent I think he has a point.

We know how fantastic he is and what he has the potential to be, we see him every single week. But he does have mistakes him in, sometimes his positioning is off and he can go missing. Most pundits don't have a clue and are judging him off four and half (admittedly excellent) games. I don't want to take anything away from him at all, he's class and I was about ****ing roaring when I saw he'd bagged earlier and he's having a ****ing wonder of a tourney - but I think that *right now* we are the perfect club for him.

Unless we grow with him, he'll leave, as Riyad (it'd appear) is. But as it stands, we're the best fit for him, and he seems the sort to appreciate that.

Vardy is slightly overated on FT aswell IMO.

Interesting point for me in one of todays papers ...   Southgate said he had to work on Maguires confidence ....     low in confidence, happy at Leicester ...     confidence and belief in own ability improves, head swells, ego matches size of head, wants to move ...   just a thought.

Don't think he's that kind of lad Country. Everything that I've read about him suggests he's a very grounded fella. I'm grateful to Southgate for giving him that extra belief if anything.
