Arkie Bennett Posted 17 April 2019 Posted 17 April 2019 The VAR decision on a question of interpretation (handball or not) went in Spurs' favour, the other VAR decision (offside) was on a question of fact. It's good when it works, but it's hugely flawed.
Buce Posted 17 April 2019 Posted 17 April 2019 I don't like Spurs but I'm glad to see them win that - the game shouldn't be about who has the most money.

They already fcked up the 1st tie, coming for a 0-0 which isn't what they do best. Add to that Aguero's missed pen. Tonight Fernandinho did not play the first half and you have the two gifts for Spurs. That's too much at this level.
SouthStandUpperTier Posted 17 April 2019 Posted 17 April 2019 The away goals rule is absolute horseshit. That is all.
StanSP Posted 17 April 2019 Posted 17 April 2019 I'd have given up with football if what happened to Man City tonight happened to us a few years ago.
st albans fox Posted 17 April 2019 Posted 17 April 2019 Spurs bottled it and still won !!! was such a Spurs things to concede in added time .....

Took 2 minutes to work out that Mane was onside earlier. Ruins all the hype in a goal celebration. Clearly last minute deciding goals in Champions League quarter finals are rare moments when it won't take away. But for every other goal? Nah not for me.

Wymsey Posted 17 April 2019 Posted 17 April 2019 Incredible. The best of football, no matter who won. Thought Man City were much more superior in terms of their expansive and fast playing style, but you have to give some credit to Tottenham there..
yorkie1999 Posted 17 April 2019 Posted 17 April 2019 Barcalona will win it anyway, unless another team gets really lucky.
Nalis Posted 17 April 2019 Posted 17 April 2019 As much as we like to laugh at Spurs, the Fighting Cock will love the last few pages if they are lurking haha In fairness, well done Spurs (even though the ball did hit Llorente's arm before going in ).
Leicester_Loyal Posted 17 April 2019 Posted 17 April 2019 One of the best games of football I have ever had the pleasure of witnessing.
Jonezy Posted 17 April 2019 Posted 17 April 2019 What a game. Its really fine margins this game of football. Hopefully this will make Man City motivated to crush the Liverpool dreams then. A Spurs Champions League triumph and Liverpool as Premier League champions will be a bit hard to take...

I thought watching 60k city fans, Guaridola and Sterling thinking they had won it to be ruled out correctly offside was hilarious
AKCJ Posted 17 April 2019 Posted 17 April 2019 Barcelona are absolute pissing themselves btw. Juve and Man City out, Ajax and a Harry Kane-less Spurs in? They can't believe their luck.

I don't know if I could carry on watching football if Liverpool win the premier League and Spurs won the champions League. It's your own fault for having such a depressive hate, for 2 teams that shouldn't bother you.....

It’s a positive thing, mate. VAR isn’t the problem, it’s the dumb ****ers who are in control of it that’s the issue. It’ll take them about a decade but they’ll work out the best way to use it eventually
Vacamion Posted 17 April 2019 Posted 17 April 2019 If they'd had VAR in 2017, Griezmann's penalty wouldn't have been given, and I'm still fizzing about that, so I'm pro VAR.
