Brentford have already turned down £10m from Bournemouth a couple of months a go for a 20yo lad who has played 21 league games in his career. If Brentford are turning down that sort of money it shows how highly they rate him. The Brentford fans gush over him like the Norwich fans did over Maddison. 

 

These are brilliant type of signings for us. We have a young lad who will soon be in the first team if he lives up to expectation and he's young enough and highly rated enough that we can move him on if he fails to hit the heights. I think the likes of Slimani and I would have said Musa up until last week it's not just a problem of overpaying for them, it's the fact you can't move them on for a loss that is a bigger problem.

Not sure Brentford will turn down £15m. That's a lot of money for a guy who is unproven even in the Championship. At least Maddison had a full season under hid belt.

 

Some of the folks who are liking this link are underwhelmed by Ghezzal though. At least Ghezzal has played at a higher level.

Difference is, Ghezzai is 26, has played at a higher level but not really progressed, when he should be in his prime. Algerians and Monaco fans think he is turd with a bad attitude.

 

Mepham is 20, already called up to Wales senior team and getting rave reviews from Brentford fans, who think he is their equivalent of Ryan Sessegnon.

 

Of course, Ghezzai may just need a change and he could excel here, but more often than not, fans who watch them week in week out, usually have a much better understanding of a player and how they think he will do for us.

This is very true, in truth nobody knows for sure whether any transfer anywhere in the world will be a success

Us amd Bournemouth have definitely bid for him this summer. Both rejected as far as i am aware.
