Reading bbc sport and mourinho going on about how they played well against a team that invested more than they did. And that he needed 6 subs not 3. We may have invested more than them but not through lack of then trying also needs to realise he spent 90 mil or what ever it was on one player. The Guy is crazy

I have long thought Mourinho's arrogance, paranoia and unnecessarily vicious response to any sort of criticism place him on the edge of sanity. There is definitely a serious psychiatric problem there - to borrow a quote from Fawlty Towers "enough material for a whole conference".

Amartey has improved massively since he arrived. But I'd rather have Richardo and Ghezzal. Ghezzal looked like he could become a good player. Gray also looked a much improved player. Morgan did okay but I'd much rather have a ball playing centre half who can take the ball forwards. I'm looking forwards to our next match: if we can take forwards the positives from that match we could do well this season.

You really listen to his bullshite he's full of shite and always has been. He should stick to being a manager and get some class.

Three serious defensive errors, two from Wes with sloppy passes back and a very important one from Amartey where we gave them exactly what they wanted in the first five minutes. Alot of possession, lack of penetration at times and when we did Kelchi couldnt get it out of his feet quickly enough to bury it. I found it frustrating.

Style of play looked good, gives you confidence the players know what they're doing but we couldnt get though Man U who seemed comfortable with us having it - possession =/= success as we learnt in 2015/16

Why is that?  What did Wes do wrong precisely?

He was at fault in the first half for Sanchez heading over, also for lakaku’s effort second half. Both of which could/should have been goals on another day. Not to mention his terrible ball playing ability.

Wes was ok tonight. Bit let's be honest he don't really fit this system/game we are playing.

The best bit tonight's showing is with better players Puel's system works. Not many teams are going to OT and play football against them.

And on another day he might not have made those mistakes. Personally think the ‘Wes is shit’ bandwagon is just too easy to jump on. It’s obvious he’s reaching the end, but I don’t think he did much wrong.

Pretty much exactly where we were on the opening day of last season. Defeat away to one of the top 6 but plenty of positives to take from it.....

Gutted personally, because if Nacho, Amartey and Ndidi had turned up we could have won that game. Thought all three were well off the pace. Nacho's penalty shout only came about because of his poor touch taking the ball towards the defender.

Was impressed with Gray in his improved defending, positional play, a threat going forward. Also thought Maddison played really well, particularly his keenness to drive forward. Ricardo will prove a good signing. Kasper did well and Maguire / Wes, well average performance.

Chilwell and Silva so frustrating, but all told there were some encouraging signs. I don't think we would have scared any of the other teams, but should have enough to improve on last year.

Think we we will have to get used to Puel's selections, because I will be surprised if many people will ever agree with the team he puts out. Tonight, playing Amartey and leaving out Vardy seemed weird to me.

Should be proud tonight,

we took the game to them,on there own turf,

we would have took that performance at home,

personally felt a draw would have been a fair result,

and with going 2-0 down with 7 minuets to go we were still trying to score which is a massive positive as most teams would simply try to see the game out 2 down

difference is though that this season our midfield seems capable of controling the game against the top 6 whereas last season it was more of hoofball esqe type of game.

Think your being a bit harsh,

i don’t think he could have set up much better than he did and feel the team put in an excellent performance given we was 1-0 after 2 minuets

Disappointed that we lost, but not with our performance.

Aside from that moment of stupidity from Amartey, we looked confident on the ball and strung some neat passes together. Lack of end product was obvious but hopefully that will improve in the forthcoming fixtures.
