If ever proof was needed of what a sad, sensitive, deluded, ungrateful, risible bunch of tossers Celtic fans are, they have just shown it to the world with that pathetic banner.

To be fair, Celtic is the bigger club by nearly every measure traditionally used to "weigh" these things: fan base, average gates, trophies won, seasons in top flight, stadium capacity etc.

 

However. And this is a massive however. 

Those measures are mainly based on history. I'm pretty sure even the most die-hard Celtic fan would agree that:

 

1. The current Leicester team would dispatch the current Celtic one

2. The current Celtic team would struggle in not only the English Premier League, but probably the Championship too. 

3. Losing out a bidding war to a club like Aston Villa – for the sake of £750,000 (John McGinn) – suggests that Leicester has the financial edge
4. In terms of recent European success, LCFC's Champions League quarter-final appearance in 2017 trumps anything Celtic has done in Europe in 15 years (since 2003-04)
5. In terms of future plans, Leicester seems to be moving forward at a greater pace (academy and training ground plans, stadium expansion etc.) than Celtic (Lennoxtown is ok, but...)

In short...Suck it up, buttercups. We're massive.

How do you turn Celtic fans into trembling, foaming-at-the-mouth wrecks?

 

1) nick their manager

 

2) (the killer) inform them that they do not support a 'massive club'

Ask them if they would trade guaranteed Europe and trophy’s every year in a league where there is no competition to never winning anything ever again and getting certain relegation by playing in England.
