There were plenty of people saying after Christmas that such and such a club has been there as well but a club like us always succumb to pressure or mean reversion eventually. Despite a lot of people being happy for us there was a subset who hated it. It really galled them that we won it at a canter in the end and didn't blow up despite them predicting it for months that it would happen at any time. When Sutton was banging on about Celtic being the bigger club, I was thinking that he's missing the point. No-one's arguing that Leicester are bigger; Rodgers moved to the best league in the world to challenge himself against some of the best managers on the planet at the peak of their abilities. What self-respecting manager would stay in a job that any idiot could do when they could be at the top table?
