I don't like comparisons. It's not fair on either player. That applies to Ghezzel / Mahrez too.

Kante, legend, contributed massively to us and Mendy has looked very good so far this season. Lets enjoy both, so to speak.

This.

But also, yes, yes he is.

Kante is in a class of his own.  Comparison is unfair.

Mendy is Mendy and he has made a great start to the season and I'm delighted to be proven wrong.  He seems to have solved the problem of a partner for Wilf when our other midfielders have all been a bit of a much of a muchness.  I thought it would be Silva who make the difference but I may be proven wrong there too.

Absolutely not. Mendy is okay but he’s not a patch on Kante. Stop comparing, neither N’didi or Mendy combined are as good. Kante is the best player ever in his position, and he has the silverwear to prove it.

Mendy and ibbora? Nii'didi rested.worth a try.?

Why change a formula which appears to be working well? Iborra is too slow for a midfield two imo.

Looked very similar stature wise from the stands, but Kante is one of the best players I have seen play for us, mendy has got a job on his hands to get to his level, but there is no saying he can’t.

I’m really happy for the lad, bad injury, slated on here when he returned, some said he looked shite on loan, but always thought he needed fitness, as he looked class before he came here, and you don’t just lose it.

Nice to see people are now giving him a fair crack of the whip now his fully fit.

Not the next Kante... However a few years ago when Man Utd were linked to Mendy he was the next Makelele.... Kante and Makelele are different players! So If anything we have our own Makelele.

Kante was one of a kind - a diamond in the rough who turned out to be one of the few genuinely world class players we've ever had.

Comparing Mendy and Ndidi to him is not healthy and not fair. Let them express themselves in their own way.

Mendy is the perfect example of all that's bad with football supporters. Plays a few games here and there over two seasons, never getting a continuous run out due to injury and therefore is very inconsistent, so it's, "useless, bin him". Then he puts in three good performances in a row and he's the next Kante.

Wait until he's had half a season of regularly playing in the side so we can make an informed judgement.

Trouble is, this is an internet forum dedicated to discussing all things Leicester City.  It doesn't really work if we wait 6 months to make an informed judgement.  There would be very little happening, so as a forum, really it can't help but be reactionary.  Foolish to expect anything else.
