Who do you want January 2019

Recommended Posts

I reckon Championship will be a happy hunting ground this year. Lots of good young players, like Abraham, Adams Etc.

Definitely don't want us to go towards Serie A. Our record there is dreadful.

La Liga and Bundesliga would cough up some promising players.

I don't see why we think that our club can't afford bigger players. We never spend big. I mean we consider £25m to be a lot, but in todays market its peanuts.

It’s not that we can’t afford them, it’s that we won’t spend that sort of money.

We've only signed Inler and Cambiasso from Serie A, haven't we? I'd not say that's dreadful.

Perhaps Gabbiadini from Saints? He’s beem prolific in the past. With some confidence he’s a good option.

The more I think about this, the more I think this is worth a go. He's shown flashes of brilliance in England (mainly under Puel) and was always a great option at Napoli. A loan deal would be ideal.

We may be the 14th richest club (the 19th Most valuable?) but we do not have the funds of the top ten clubs, we have to balance our books. Also as we are not in London or Spain, so we are not so appealing to the better players from abroad. The Championship is our best chance for talent spotting and they would all be a risk.

I think we should stick to our roots and continue scouting. We've clearly got a good scouting network considering our successes ( Vardy, Mahrez, Kante). Do what you do best, right? I think some scouting in France or maybe Portugal can uncover some gems.

In my opinion we are 2 players away (in the starting 11) from cementing 7th and pulling away from the rest.

A centre Mid to play with Ndidi or Mendy as they are too defensive and similar.. This is the type of player we were all expecting Adrien Silva to be, a very talented box to box player that dictates tempo and can pick a pass and is very forward thinking.

The other is the hole that was left when mahrez left, a very talented proven attacking midfielder that is very capable of the 10 goals/10 assist that he gave us for the last 3 years.

Obviously we need a striker sooner or later but i think we could hold out until summer as the other 2 positions are more important right now.
