Puel 'Facing the sack' - reports

If we sack Puel, it had best be because we have someone amazing lined up and not some knee-jerk interim solution when we're not in any real crisis.

Truth or not, this just reinforces my distaste for player power. I'd rather the players gave it their all on the pitch and the managerial decisions be left to the board to make instead of being pressured to do so by player comments to press.

When John Percy is suggesting that he’s lost the entire training ground players and staff it’s perhaps more social responsibility rather than press and player power.

To be honest I am I little bit jealous of man u, in the sense that they have appointed a manager that is already loved by the club and makes people excited for the next game.

I'm struggling these days to get as excited as I did about going to the match. Even though he has no experience I wouldn't be totally against cambiasso joining us as long as we stay up, would bring such an uplift to us

As did Ranieri.

As did Shakespeare.

As did...

Is there a pattern emerging?

Oh definitely if that's the case then it's absolutely more endemic and needs changing - but I don't ever really hold stock whenever people peddle the x has "lost the dressing room" or "lost the staff" quotes.

In the end, I wouldn't be too upset if Puel were to go, I just would prefer it be done with some degree of decorum.

Well I personally would be very happy if Brendan Rodgers took over from Puel (should he go in the next few days/weeks). I know Scottish football is not the greatest standard but he's been at some very big clubs and with Liverpool, bar Klopp, took them within reach of winning the top flight for the first time in years.

They're recycling the same story. Just dismiss anything released after the initial article, as it's just rewording the initial lines.

To be fair it probably is just a recycling of the same story.

A guy who plays a very similar style to Puel. Don't jump to conclusions just yet

I have seen lots of worse play than under Puel, including Shakespeare, and Ranieri second season. That is before we go back to the horrors of Megson, Kelly, Sousa.

We need better striking options, but otherwise that team on Tuesday did well. Man City have turned over far better teams than us.

Puel will have us rebuilding in mid table. I would be happy for him to do that until next summer, then lets see.

For anyone slagging the players off and i'm sure they're not squeaky clean in all this if true, but please note the articles mention Puel's fell out, clashed and upset members of staff.

There is arguably previous evidence of this in the way Michael Appleton, Pascal Plancque and Eduardo Macia (If he actually has left? Does anyone know?) have departed. We don't know the ins and outs but it certainly asks questions, I think it's quite clear Appleton didn't see eye to eye with him.

All I want is a competent manager lined up if he is sacked. None of this caretaker for the rest of the season nonsense.

A good manager, with a good record, please, Leicester.

Whatever happens, I really hope he gets respect from fans if/when he leaves.

To negotiate the period we’ve just been through with the class he has shown, and an unbeaten run when we would have been forgiven for losing 5-0 every week is nothing short of incredible.

Yes... the performances have gone to pot. And there’s clearly real issues that need solving. But don’t take away the quality that man has shown as a human being, keeping things together through the toughest of times.

Agree completely. It hasn’t worked out but he should forever be respected for how he handled the darkest point in this clubs history.

Found the points on King and Silva really odd.

King has been a bit part for a while sadly

Silva never really got going and when he was played didn't do well.

The argument raised seems really smashed together of different bits they've heard.

As has been pointed out many times though, Matty James get selected with King doesn't :S

Now that's really odd.

Not really, he chose Matty James who isn’t even fit over him, and Silva could have made the squad quite a few times, maybe not start but could have at least made the bench!

As has been the case for 5+ years. James was better than King in the championship, and he still is now
