The message it sends is that we had a price - a high price - and stuck to it. The message is that we will do our damnedest to hold onto the best players but, if the player pushes to leave, we will try and get maximum value. Players seek to leave bigger clubs than us - they always have and always will. The message I'm feeling from the LCFC hierarchy is that we've pulled off a blinder (even though it's slightly sad we've sold one of our golden boys).

Teams hate having to do business with us, price you pay for dealing with masters of the market.
