Same goes for Carragher and Liverpool - not show bias while commentating. McManaman doesn't even seem to try. Spot on. And the salivating over Liverpool would be a lot easier for a neutral viewer to take if it came from someone with no connection to them. Broadcasters could, of course, avoid the whole issue and lessen irritation of non-fans, if they simply stopped picking co-commentators with a dog in the fight. 1
Cadno'r Cymoedd Posted 2 January 2020 Posted 2 January 2020 Not a fan of Liverpool, but their pace and running off the ball is really impressive. That is the big difference between them, and us and Man City for me.

Vacamion Posted 2 January 2020 Posted 2 January 2020 This chat about Man City's chances of catching up, not mentioning, ahem, any other teams. It's like they are reading this thread and are on the wind up... 1
Cadno'r Cymoedd Posted 2 January 2020 Posted 2 January 2020 Typical Liverpool foul by Henderson there.

Vacamion Posted 2 January 2020 Posted 2 January 2020 Liverpool are winning this at a canter with a zillion point lead at the top of the table, but the ref is still going to get death threats for not giving them a free kick there....

st albans fox Posted 2 January 2020 Posted 2 January 2020 Jeez - how many times does the keeper just fling himself across the goal in that instance .....Alisson stands his ground and the ball just balloons into his arms .... 1
StanSP Posted 2 January 2020 Posted 2 January 2020 Can someone let me know if Liverpool have gone a calendar year without losing at Anfield in the league? # Lost count of the amount of times these commentators have mentioned it tonight. 1

Whenever Liverpool are on tv, and especially when McManaman is on co-commentary, the ‘mute’ button is obligatory. 1
Vacamion Posted 2 January 2020 Posted 2 January 2020 Liverpool's next 3 league games are Spurs, Man Utd and Wolves. On form, Liverpool should win them, but they are hardly *easy* games, yet the pundits there are already celebrating the league title for them...
hebangsthedrums Posted 2 January 2020 Posted 2 January 2020 Bleugh. Just hope Liverpool lose at least once. Such an unlikeable club, pretty much every non Liverpool fan I speak to wants anyone but them to win things. 2
