FA investigating Hamza

Recommended Posts

Posted

Not only is it pathetic its being looked at by the FA, but it takes away the glory of how he actually played. He was buzzing when he came off the pitch and i can imagine was on a proper high. Now just cause some absolute idiots dredge up some old posts from social media, he is under investigation. Talk about a come-down.

Outrageous and not needed.

This will be absolute b***s*** if he gets charged.

Will the FA investigate all historical records of all premier league players? I don't think so

A rule for some is another rule for others!

Technically not an adult when he made these comments. Everyone makes mistakes when they are young - the FA need to spend their time and money on dealing with blatant racism by adults whether they are players or fans.

It wouldn't take much to do a social media cleanse of those coming through the academy, or any of the players for that matter, so just do it.

I know there's probably some stupid stuff on my old social medias so hope I never upset some sad virgin Arsenal fan.

Welcome to the future.

All your childhood comments are on record forever.

They will be used against you.

Damn, hope they don't find all the random animals I asked for on Farmville

Seriously worrying that this is even a thing.

The completely logical consequence would have to be retroactive control of all people's social media output ever.

Good luck with that.

Find most of what Hamza wrote as a teenager absolutely harmless. Too many snowflakes out there with nothing better to do in their spare time, and even the police have caught the bug now.

Totally agree.

These complaining, 'offended', snowflakes out there obviously have a dream life........ if  a few comments from an immature 15 year old is all they have to worry about.

They obviously have no health problems, housing problems, money problems or relationship problems.

I'm so glad when I was young there wasn't these crazy worlds of social media, political correctness, and 'I'm offended' cultures.

Apologies in advance if this posting offends anyone!

Why do y’all think it’s Gooners up to this trick?  They are way too stupid.

This is City Football Group’s high-priced Social Media Analytics staff, tipping off their agents at the FA just before a critical match.  They are also dissecting all of Chilwell’s posts since he was 10, for an entirely different reason.

What did he say?

One tweet was “why are black guys fast runners because the slow ones are in prison”

A tweet about how he don’t feel any sympathy towards people who commit Suicide

a tweet about women’s football not being great

People need to calm down with their criticism of the FA.

The FA are doing the right thing. They're investigating. They can't ignore a bunch of offensive tweets when they've already set their stall out and said that the sport has ethical standards that can't be breached.

The villains here aren't the FA, it's the Arsenal twitterati gremlins that went digging through his tweets to retweet them because they're salty that their team lost a game of football.

They're absolutely, straight up, grade A embarrassing little ***** who should be laughed off the Internet for being unbelievably, cringe worthy, sad, hilarious little twats.

But once they let the genie out the bottle, the FA absolutely can't ignore it. Hamza will get a slap on the wrist, it's not like it'll end his career. Given the time of the season we should possibly even be grateful that the young players in our club will get the wake up call about social media.

I get what you are saying and to a degree you are correct, they cant just let it go. However they COULD have come out with an official statement to say they have looked into the matter and realise these were from a 15 year old boy who made some childish comments but have decided no further action will be taken.

That way they are seen to be doing something and addressing the matter, but realise its a non-starter.

I fully expect no further action to be taken, but my post was more to feel bad about Hamza. This game won't be remembered about how well he did on his debut under BR but more about the silly tweets he made years ago.

The words Storm and Teacup spring to mind.

It'll all be forgotten about when he takes out Aguero with a brilliantly timed tackle on our way to beating Man City 1-0 at the Etihad next week.

Complete non-issue. Quiet word in his ear but I'm sure he probably knows now anyway.

Actually changed my mind. Don't even give it that. Just ignore it and move on.

1. You don't know they won't do that. The match was Sunday, it's only Tuesday. That's literally no time at all in football. Hennessey's nazi salute issue is still ongoing isn't it?

2. They shouldn't just fob it straight off, they should take their time to appraise it properly. Some of what he said was horrible and whilst his age SHOULD mitigate any punishment down to basically a finger wag, they should send the message that any such comments will be properly scrutinised.

3. The people that matter, the club, know Hamza played very well. That's all that matters.

What a society we have become now lol

Completely mental. Even freedom of thought and freedom to be a twat is being investigated from when you are a 15 year old twat - as most of us were.

If only he'd ranted about climate change at that age he'd be invited to parliament and climaxed over.

I'm also still wondering what's wrong with having the opinion that women's football is shit.

No, concluded the week before last.

Not guilty of any charges as the FA accepted he didn't know what a Nazi salute, or even who Hitler was.

Honestly the funniest case I've seen in how long. How he got away with pleading ignorance is beyond me lol

My favourite part though is that his agent / solicitor even advised him to plead innocence in the first place. He was doing it to a German player and he had his ****ing finger under his nose lol

Who was ever going to think he was a real Nazi!?!?

He was clearly taking the piss. If national treasure and absolute legend John Cleese can do it in one of the country's most beloved comedy sketches of all time, why the hell didn't he just say that's what he was blatantly doing and leave it at that lol

So insane.

Can't argue with that to be honest :D
