Ian Nacho Posted 2 May 2019 Posted 2 May 2019 If players were done for things which were said during a game half the squad would be out suspended every week.

They may have. My issue is that nobody can complain about a punishment for something that is simply wrong.
Itsthejoeker Posted 2 May 2019 Posted 2 May 2019 Awaiting my charge for when I told some kid I ****ed his whole family on COD4.
StanSP Posted 2 May 2019 Posted 2 May 2019 It's really not surprising the FA have charged him. The double standards are ridiculous though. Hennessey gets let off for literally giving a Nazi salute and claiming he didn't know what it was yet Hamza gets done for stupid stuff said 5/6 years ago. Why not just give him a warning or something similar? Trial by social media is ridiculous. If those Arsenal fan didn't dig it up, the FA have fvck all idea about it.
Jordan Posted 2 May 2019 Posted 2 May 2019 I would hope that these charges were brought forward because the persons at the FA responsible for filing these types of charges are merely being jobsworths. I also hope Choudhury can respond to the charges and show how much he's matured eloquently enough to avoid punishment. 1 minute ago, StanSP said: It's really not surprising the FA have charged him. How do you think people get sentenced? We can certainly compare cases and what we have learned is a convenient ignorance or support for a terror organisation is acceptable to the FA
spacemunky Posted 2 May 2019 Posted 2 May 2019 Pretty sure that when I was 15 five of my top 10 used words were offensive to someone. We stand by you Hamza!

Which is why the amateur approach of our football club towards this stuff embarrasses me. If this is how we manage our young players, how can we expect to break into the top six ??? i’m shocked that someone with the management and foresight of Susan Whelen hasn’t got this kind of thing under control
Guest MattP Posted 2 May 2019 Posted 2 May 2019 Use the Wayne Hennessey defence and just claim you don't know what the N word means.
Scunny fox Posted 2 May 2019 Posted 2 May 2019 I think this has been sorted by the club , the player has held his hands up ,reolised his mistake ,FA don’t need to do anything, bigger issues to deal with than a 6year old post

ClaphamFox Posted 2 May 2019 Posted 2 May 2019 Thank God for the FA! Where on earth would we be if they weren't around to protect us by punishing people for comments they made five years ago when they still were children?

I blame all those self-righteous, seemingly irreproachable PC pressure groups and media outlets that are sprouting up from everywhere and leave governing bodies and public services with no choice but to bow fearfully to their bullying, beyond-the realms-of-reasonable-debate demands. Can we not just be left alone to act as decent, honourable, law-abiding - though inevitably imperfect - human beings without being hounded into shame and notoriety for the most trivial detour off the path of PC-sanctioned conformity? Agreed but Hamzas tweets were not dug up from the PC brigade. They were dug up by salty Arsenal Fans because we slapped them 3-0.
Always Next Year Posted 2 May 2019 Posted 2 May 2019 A few years ago John Terry gets 4 match ban and 14 year old boy from Leeds gets 5 match for telling ref that his name was Santa. Yet another jobs worth by the FA.

MarriedaLeicesterGirl Posted 2 May 2019 Posted 2 May 2019 Looking at the rules, he will admit to the mistake a pay a fine -- I am not sure how much, since I don't know if he had signed a professional contract at that point. I can't imagine even the FA would be stupid enough to suspend the only British Asian footballer in the Premier League for being a racist based on 6-year-old tweets.

But he was a child when he said those things. He got it wrong but a warning would have been sufficient. Declan Rice supporting the IRA and Wayne Hennessey giving us the Nazi salute is worthy of banning, not this. I genuinly hope football clubs are educating their academy players about social media use.
Jonezy Posted 2 May 2019 Posted 2 May 2019 This is so frickin dumb, that I am kind of lost for words.
