FA investigating Hamza

Didn't Wayne Hennessey get out of one of these by saying he didn't know who Hitler was or something?

"Sir, when I was 15 I classified gay people in the same way I classified Orks, Elves and Wizard but since graduating to the first team I realise Chilwell and Maddison are in fact very real and very important members of the team."

This is what our world has come to and seems to be getting worse. I guess the FA has nothing better to do.

This is all complete bollocks - but I don't actually blame the FA.

I blame all those self-righteous, seemingly irreproachable PC pressure groups and media outlets that are sprouting up from everywhere and leave governing bodies and public services with no choice but to bow fearfully to their bullying, beyond-the realms-of-reasonable-debate demands.

Can we not just be left alone to act as decent, honourable, law-abiding - though inevitably imperfect - human beings without being hounded into shame and notoriety for the most trivial detour off the path of PC-sanctioned conformity?

So it’s appears to be double standards from the FA again absolute joke

so a 32 year old bloke can claim he doesn’t know who Adolf Hitler is and they believe him, they let of a then 16 year old Declan rice for supporting a terror organisation but charge a then 15 year old for having opinions

Right decision.

A very good message to some of the 15 year olds that I teach.

Quite simply, you cannot post thoughtless, offensive comments on social media.

If the FA will charge players based on things they've tweeted in the past then they need to start 'educating' players in academies of what they expect of players and what they find isn't acceptable.

Clubs and agents need to start trawling through social media histories to prevent players being fined for stupid things they've tweeted in the past. It's getting beyond ridiculous.

The FA can't seem to acknowledge the other huge issues in the game, but will crack down on things tweeted by teenagers

Hope the rest of the team bar themselves from social media altogether, and make their stance here public.

Can't believe they've charged him. How can they charge him and not Declan Rice for his pro IRA comments? Just remind him of his responsibilities and move on.

Do we know if this will affect his availability for the final two games? It would be a massive shame for him to miss them.

What about Hennessey and Rice? Fvcking plonkers the lot of them. If it wasn't for Arsenal fans bringing them up they would be totally unaware of it. Hopefully it's just a fine and not a ban.

How ironic

Exactly what a complete joke. "Let's encourage more Asian players into the game by charging one of the most up and coming Asian youngsters for something he Tweeted when he was 15."

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight

Agreed but if the FA are being the moral guardians now, they’ve ignored actions from a fascist regime and support of a terrorist organisation.

This is not about other cases. It is about right and wrong. Unfortunately Hamza got this wrong.

In law it’s always about other cases, precedents. So this is flying in the face of that.

Yes, he got it wrong but so did others who escaped punishment.
