Guest SO1 Posted 2 May 2019 Posted 2 May 2019 This is what our world has come to and seems to be getting worse. I guess the FA has nothing better to do.
Dahnsouff Posted 2 May 2019 Posted 2 May 2019 These old farts at the FA must feel so powerful right now
st albans fox Posted 2 May 2019 Posted 2 May 2019 Just wow ........... maybe his defence should be that he didn’t know black people and women footballers existed .... seemed to work for Wayne Hennessy ......
kingcarr21 Posted 2 May 2019 Posted 2 May 2019 So does he just get a fine or can this go as far as match bans?
Hammo Posted 2 May 2019 Posted 2 May 2019 This is all complete bollocks - but I don't actually blame the FA. I blame all those self-righteous, seemingly irreproachable PC pressure groups and media outlets that are sprouting up from everywhere and leave governing bodies and public services with no choice but to bow fearfully to their bullying, beyond-the realms-of-reasonable-debate demands. Can we not just be left alone to act as decent, honourable, law-abiding - though inevitably imperfect - human beings without being hounded into shame and notoriety for the most trivial detour off the path of PC-sanctioned conformity?
HybridFox Posted 2 May 2019 Posted 2 May 2019 Absolute rubbish! Will the FA look at the social media history of EVERY single player in the Premier League and charge as appropriate? Disgrace!
jammie82uk Posted 2 May 2019 Posted 2 May 2019 So it’s appears to be double standards from the FA again absolute joke so a 32 year old bloke can claim he doesn’t know who Adolf Hitler is and they believe him, they let of a then 16 year old Declan rice for supporting a terror organisation but charge a then 15 year old for having opinions
Micky Posted 2 May 2019 Posted 2 May 2019 Right decision. A very good message to some of the 15 year olds that I teach. Quite simply, you cannot post thoughtless, offensive comments on social media.
UniFox21 Posted 2 May 2019 Posted 2 May 2019 If the FA will charge players based on things they've tweeted in the past then they need to start 'educating' players in academies of what they expect of players and what they find isn't acceptable. Clubs and agents need to start trawling through social media histories to prevent players being fined for stupid things they've tweeted in the past. It's getting beyond ridiculous. The FA can't seem to acknowledge the other huge issues in the game, but will crack down on things tweeted by teenagers
Wymsey Posted 2 May 2019 Posted 2 May 2019 Hope the rest of the team bar themselves from social media altogether, and make their stance here public.
Poznan34 Posted 2 May 2019 Posted 2 May 2019 Can't believe they've charged him. How can they charge him and not Declan Rice for his pro IRA comments? Just remind him of his responsibilities and move on. Do we know if this will affect his availability for the final two games? It would be a massive shame for him to miss them.
CosbehFox Posted 2 May 2019 Posted 2 May 2019 The FA are spineless. The current manager of the England Women made worse comments, avoided punishment and still had a job
Ian Nacho Posted 2 May 2019 Posted 2 May 2019 What about Hennessey and Rice? Fvcking plonkers the lot of them. If it wasn't for Arsenal fans bringing them up they would be totally unaware of it. Hopefully it's just a fine and not a ban.

Micky Posted 2 May 2019 Posted 2 May 2019 This is not about other cases. It is about right and wrong. Unfortunately Hamza got this wrong.

Agreed but if the FA are being the moral guardians now, they’ve ignored actions from a fascist regime and support of a terrorist organisation.

In law it’s always about other cases, precedents. So this is flying in the face of that. Yes, he got it wrong but so did others who escaped punishment.
