Nicolo Barella Posted 15 May 2019 Posted 15 May 2019 We might have got £25 million if we had sold him last season. If we sell him now I'll be happy with anything above 15. A season of first team minutes whilst doing fuch all at the rear end of his development has surely hurt his attractiveness as a prospect
themightyfin Posted 15 May 2019 Posted 15 May 2019 I expected great thing from Darnell this year as well.

mazarron fox Posted 15 May 2019 Posted 15 May 2019 Is it just me or at this moment in time the players our fans want are 3 times the standard of ten years ago? Happy days

He only ever went because Ryan Porteous (who will be a Premier League player) got a nasty injury. Heckingbottom took over, Darnell got a suspension, Hibs barely lost (if at all) - and he kept it as it was.

Not one Mod PM’d me since that sorry smear upon FT to apologise and admit I was absolutely fuching correct. Pitiful. I mean, ok, pointing it out 20 times a day might have been overkill, but I was right god dammit.
MGLCFC Posted 16 May 2019 Posted 16 May 2019 As many have said, there are too many average players earning too much money. Getting these off the wage bill has to be a priority. Sell asap Jakapovic James King Slimani Diabate Ghazzel Sell if not making any impact by the close of transfer window in August Nacho Man Mendy Silva (unless sold as part of the Tielemans deal) Gray Loan out One of our centre halves, unles Maguire is sold

Interesting he mentions Ndidi. I think BR would be open to selling him for a good offer.
leicesterseddon Posted 16 May 2019 Posted 16 May 2019 I think Maguire will go this summer but probably not Chilwell. I’m hoping he’s the only first-team player we lose. I’m worried about losing Ricardo in the long run, although probably not this window. In terms of who we sell, I think we will try (but fail) to sell James and Slimani, although they might go out on loan. I reckon Silva wants to leave England so I can see him going, irrespective of whether we sign Tielemans. I reckon we will keep Gray & Iheanacho in the hope they finally ‘come good’, before they continue to disappoint and leave in January/next summer. I have no idea about Ghezzel...was very obviously a Puel signing so he might want to leave - but who will buy?

Players can still move abroad and BR will look closely at these players in friendlies and early fixtures and if he feels that they are not going to feature, then sell. Hope that answers your question.

I think with regards to Ricardo, top clubs in the premier league we will be okay other than Man U who I’ll imagine will invest in that area this summer. Be surprised if European clubs would pay our asking price for him to. Man City have Walker Liverpool have Trent Arsenal have Bellerin Chelsea have Azpilicueta Spurs have Trippier

I agree and I think our fans would be surprised when it happens. Reading between the lines I don't think BR is a big fan of Ndidi. He wants a guy who can sit as DM but can distribute the ball better and control the tempo. Ndidi will never in a million years be that. I'm open to selling Ndidi.

So, despite knowing what we already know about the players you mentioned, we should wait til the domestic transfer window closes in the hope that they make an impact before the European window closes in three games that most won't even play in (or meaningless friendlies beforehand) and only then decide whether to sell them but only to the limited market of eligible European clubs. Genius! Are you Lee Congerton?

Genius! Are you Lee Congerton? I assume you don't like other people to have an opinion. It is not what I am saying. There will be those that he knows he wants to release already and those that he will want to to take a better look at in pre season. It maybe that he is unsure of certain players and that they don't feature early season. It could the players that realise they don't have a future here and will push to leave before any transfer window closes. Apologies if the transfer window rules changed from last season, I wasn't aware.
Dahnsouff Posted 17 May 2019 Posted 17 May 2019 So Nacho may go out on loan https://www.completesports.com/rodgers-iheanacho-may-go-out-on-loan/ Striker must be incoming then
Out Foxed Posted 17 May 2019 Posted 17 May 2019 He ruined us all getting free drinks off Liverpool fans for the rest of our lives. Weird that you got him going out on loan from that. If anything I got he’s staying and being worked on. The quote says about loans “it’s not something I’m thinking about”.

In the short term I imagine they'll give him more time to establish his place, but next summer they may choose to upgrade if he's still not hitting the level they expect. They'd probably go elsewhere though - I don't think they'd be willing to pay what we'd ask for for Ricardo, especially if they miss out on Europe entirely (not outside the realms of possibility)
Wymsey Posted 19 May 2019 Posted 19 May 2019 Have a feeling that Bournemouth will bid a decent amount for Gray at some point knowing their past in buying British players at quite high fees..
