If anyone's interested, FreeSports have a few European games over the next couple of weeks (they usually only have MLS and the odd French Ligue 1 game?)

25th Sept - Napoli vs Cagliari (8pm)

27th Sept - Villarreal vs Real Betis (8pm)

28th Sept - Sassuolo vs Atalanta (7.45pm)

29th Sept - Lazio vs Genoa (2pm)

4th Oct - Real Betis vs Eibar (8pm)
5th Oct - Genoa vs AC Milan (7.45pm)

Not sure how/why they've picked up some games from Italy/Spain but no complaints from me!

They are linked to Premier Sports - hence the Spanish and Italian games

Took the piss a bit earlier but in all seriousness Slimani about the best player on the pitch for Monaco tonight.

I know he has no future here but is he out or contract in the summer or can we still get money for him?

How disappointing, such an iconic stadium, I'm amazed they haven't incorporated/replicate the towers into the new designs.

Are the towers even open? When I went about five years ago they had been condemned so you couldn’t walk around them anyway.

First thing I saw in the concourse that day was a dead dog. I’m guessing their fans are desperate for better facilities.

I understand they wouldn't be the same but they're so intrinsic to the stadium I'm surprised they've dismissed out of hand and gone for pretty much a template of various other grounds.

Ground like San Siro should never be moved out of, sad times every club is gonna have some soulless techno stadium

Apparently several stadiums in Italy aren't in great condition any more. I know Napoli's San Paolo is in a shit state.

San Siro was no different.

Could be wrong but I always thought clubs in Italy were gagging for new grounds because nigh on all the clubs don't actually own their stadiums - more so than any major concern over grubby facilities.

Juventus set a bit of a precedent other clubs in Italy want to follow.

Correct I think it’s three clubs with Serie A who own their grounds. It’s no surprise that those three clubs either have a new stadium or in the process of developing.

Italian clubs pay a fair wedge in rent to the councils as well I think so financially as well as for safety reasons in makes sense

I think Atalanta are completely redeveloping their ground as well?

On another note, I hope Perugia get promoted back to Serie A. Always had a soft spot for them.

I've watched three or four BT Bundesliga and Ligue 1 games recently with Jonathan Pearce doing the commentary.

Is it just me or is he not in the stadium? I'd never really thought about it but do BT have guys just in a studio somewhere doing the match commentary?

A combination of the sound (the commentary sounds very crisp and loud but the background ambience in the stadium sounds a bit muted and muffled) and just the way Pearce talks, I'm sure he's not actually there?

It's weird. Has BTs European games always been like this? I'd never thought about it.

They have never been in the stadium Finners. They are sat in the BT studios.

Champions League might be different.

I know the likes of Talksport are similar at major championships too (excepting England games).

Yeah that definitely makes sense. I'm not sure why Pearce specifically made me realise. I figured it was the case for the smaller games where there's no pundit with the commentator.

I'm pretty confident the Champions League guys are actually in the ground.

He's in a broom cupboard with a mic and a monitor at BT Towers.

He was definitely at Selhurst Park on this night though...
