World Football Thread 19/20

Kovac suited Eintracht Frankfurt because they could play on the break, it's different at Bayern where they're going to have more of the ball. Kovac can coach chaotic football, not structured football like Guardiola.

Erling Braut Haaland has continued his remarkable run of form by scoring a fifth hat-trick of the season for Red Bull Salzburg.

The 19-year-old striker scored all three goals as the Austrian Bundesliga leaders beat Wolfsberger 3-0.

He is the son of former Leeds United and Man City midfielder Alf-Inge Haaland, and he now has 27 goals in 18 club appearances this season.

Seven of Haaland's goals have come in the Champions League.

AZ Alkmaar are very enjoyable to watch, my two new favourite players to be ridiculously over the top about Stengs and Boadu both scored again last night. GERRUMMMINNNN

They are playing at ADO at the minute tho aren't they due to storm damage at home ground. They reckon they may not move back home all season.

We are looking at going out to Holland again in the new year, trying to get Feyenoord in, but one of the options for a game the other day is to go watch AZ v ADO but chances are it could be played at ADO could be interesting.

Having been to ADO a few times, once to see ajax who's fans aren't allowed to travel, I can't imagine the issues they will have trying to police effectively 2 lots of home fans in the area. Although i haven't looked to see what AZ attendances have been like at ADO.

Glad to hear they are decent to watch tho.

Pretty sure the manager kind of moved to step across his path after moving out of the way of the ball. His face was great as he's going down in slow motion.

He addressed the incident in the post-match incident and basically played it down. He's quite a funny character anyway. He said Abraham came and apologised to him already and basically that's it for him, case closed, he accepted the apology and went on to say that emotions are part of the game. He didn't make any sort of deal out of it.

Good to hear, feel like stuff like this gets blown way out of proportion because that's the norm and it's expected these days.

Shake hands and get on with it.
