moore_94 Posted 5 July 2019 Posted 5 July 2019 *Pretends to be shocked* Also can’t wait for the meltdown from Sheff Wed fans when they catch wind of this again, they went crazy when he originally joined Leuven as it was so obvious what we were doing
urban.spaceman Posted 5 July 2019 Author Posted 5 July 2019 *waits for Sheffield Wednesday’s outrage*
Ashley Posted 5 July 2019 Posted 5 July 2019 Was always going to happen, he wanted out of Sheff Wed and going to OHL was a loophole in not paying compensation because they didnt meet the criteria of a graded club.
lgfualol Posted 5 July 2019 Posted 5 July 2019 So this guy end up being pretty good for Leuven? I heard he wasn't that good and that is an amateur league.

filbertway Posted 5 July 2019 Posted 5 July 2019 Based on what the Leuven fans said, he will be a Beaglehole wet dream
Ric Flair Posted 5 July 2019 Posted 5 July 2019 Hahaha he was absolute doggo at Leuven as well, this hasn't really gone to plan and the reputation we will get from this is unlikely to be worth it.
ealingfox Posted 5 July 2019 Posted 5 July 2019 Actually does sound like he's muck so might have been better leaving him there.
Aus Fox Posted 5 July 2019 Posted 5 July 2019 And the mystery striker signing, is no longer a mystery! Welcome George!

Yeah, given as he's unlikely to ever be anywhere near good enough for our first team, I'm not really happy on potentially getting a transfer ban for this somewhere down the line. A couple of the big clubs recent transfer bans have stemmed from dodgy youth players transfers.
lgfualol Posted 5 July 2019 Posted 5 July 2019 Now I really want him to succeed. Come on George, defy Beagle's tactics and get into our team pal
Aus Fox Posted 5 July 2019 Posted 5 July 2019 Imagine all this hate then he comes on late in the season to score the goal that sends Sheffield United down. All is then forgiven.
Finnegan Posted 5 July 2019 Posted 5 July 2019 God I hope we get them in the league Cup, he comes on and scores a winner.
surrifox Posted 5 July 2019 Posted 5 July 2019 I don’t recall seeing anything about Wednesday’s dodgy ground sale . What was that all about ?
Guest SO1 Posted 5 July 2019 Posted 5 July 2019 Don't know anything about this. So he's going to France with the team and comes back to be loaned somewhere else. Whatever. If your going to put him and Ryan Loft in the same sentence then he has no chance.
Tielemans63 Posted 5 July 2019 Posted 5 July 2019 To be fair, I can see why the Wednesday fans are fuming. It does seem very underhanded. That said, we haven't broken any rules.
TiffToff88 Posted 5 July 2019 Posted 5 July 2019 Looked like a very promising talent in his time at Wednesday and was even linked with a move to Man U at one point wasn't he? I think it would be harsh to judge him on the opinions of Leuven fans as the guy was playing in a foreign league he probably knew very little about and didn't speak the language. Not to mention the club having a manager with the same problems in Sir Nige. Lets see how he gets on with our Under-23's before we decide he's not going to be good enough!
Foxxed Posted 5 July 2019 Posted 5 July 2019 Our Leuven posters don't rate him. Hope he comes good. Isn't there a backstory to this? Hirst wanted out, Wedneaday refused to let him go and benched him in spite for six months, eventually resulting him joining Leuven. And his dad, once a prominent member of Wednesday's staff, has severed links with Wednesday? Have I got that right?
